A polarizing plate includes: a polarizer; a protective layer stacked on a surface of the polarizer; and a retardation layer stacked on another surface of the polarizer, and the protective layer has an in-plane retardation of 3,000 nm or more at a wavelength of 550 nm, an optical axis of the protective layer is tilted at an angle of ?2° to +2° with respect to a light absorption axis of the polarizer, and the polarizer has a single transmittance of 44.0% or more and a minimum crossed transmittance of 0.005% or more at a wavelength of 400 nm to 700 nm.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for configuring a control message in a broadcasting system for supporting a multimedia service based on an internet protocol. To this end, control information to be recorded in a payload of a control message to be configured is generated based on a table selected from among a plurality of tables for defining the information related to the generation and consumption of a hybrid content when a message type of the control message to be configured is determined to be a type for providing information related to the generation and consumption of a hybrid content. In addition, the information related to the type of the selected table is recorded in an optional field of the control message to be configured.

Abstract: There are provided a method and apparatus for delivering transport characteristics of multimedia data. According to an aspect of the present invention, transport characteristics of media data that can be divided in a unit of a Media Processing Unit (MPU) are created in a unit of a predetermined number of MPUs, the created transport characteristics and a flag indicating presence or absence of the created transport characteristics are inserted into the media data, and the resultant media data is delivered. Accordingly, by using transport characteristics in units of media data unit groups, each media data unit corresponding to a short time length, it is possible to effectively control Quality of Service (QoS) in a dynamically changing transport environment, like a mobile network.

The header includes information about a type of the payload data, whether an additional header exists, a length of the payload data, and a Least Significant Bit (LSB) of the length of the payload data.
