Patent number: 11197237Abstract: Battery life of a user equipment (UE) can be extended when the UE is roaming internationally in a country that has multiple carrier networks each utilizing multiple public land mobile network (PLMN) identifiers. Scan control tables, stored in a universal integrated circuit card (UICC) of the UE, are populated with the identifiers of a PLMN having the highest priority in a defined area (e.g., Circle). A roaming control applet of the UICC can compare serving cell data with the scan control tables to determine if the UE is to perform a higher priority (HP) PLMN search. Utilization of the scan control table avoids unnecessary searches for HPPLMNs that are unavailable in the UE's current location and accordingly extends battery life of the UE.Type: GrantFiled: June 9, 2020Date of Patent: December 7, 2021Assignee: AT&T Mobility II LLCInventor: Inderpreet Singh Ahluwalia

Patent number: 11010423Abstract: Examples of systems and methods for automatic population of electronic documents are described. In an example, a digital base document having the information to be populated in a data field of the electronic document may be obtained. From the digital base document a data item to provide the information may be extracted. Further, for the digital base document, a similarity score may be computed with respect to each document type defined in predefined mapping data, the predefined mapping data including, for each document type, a weight associated with data items occurring in the document type, the weight being associated based on the importance of the data item to the document. Based on the similarity score, a document type of the digital base document may be identified. Further, based on a position of the data item in the digital base document and the identified document type, the data field may be populated.Type: GrantFiled: August 20, 2018Date of Patent: May 18, 2021Assignee: ACCENTURE GLOBAL SOLUTIONS LIMITEDInventors: Subhasish Roy, Inderpreet Singh, Anobika Roy, Yabesh Jebaraj

Patent number: 10834663Abstract: Blind selection of a multi-frequency band indicator (MFBI) channel is disclosed. The crowded wireless spectrum can comprise overlapping bands, e.g., LTE bands 17 and 12. Whereas current standards allow setting the E-UTRA frequency to only one absolute radio-frequency channel number, alternative channel information can be distributed via SIB message. However, where a UE cannot read the MFBI information in a SIB message, the UE can be ignorant of a channel in an alternative band. Channel information for an alternative band can be sent to the UE as part of a radio resource control RRC message, for example, comprising a dEUTRACarrierFreqInfo value. The RRC connection release message can cause the UE to release a connection and then reestablish a new connection based on the channel information for then alternative band. This can allow mobile devices that do not support MFBI via SIB, to access channels in MFBI-type bands.Type: GrantFiled: October 6, 2016Date of Patent: November 10, 2020Assignee: AT&T MOBILITY II LLCInventors: Yupeng Jia, Inderpreet Singh Ahluwalia
