  • Publication number: 20180101971
Abstract: A sub-image of data of a first full image may be selected. The sub-image of data may at least partially obscure an object within the first full image. A request to replace the sub-image of data may be transmitted over a network. The request may include transmitting the full image and transmitting metadata associated with the first full image to one or more of a server computing device. The server computing device may analyze a history of images and select one or more images of the history of images that match one or more attributes of the metadata. The server computing device may replace the sub-image of data using the one or more images to generate at least a second full image that includes the object, wherein the object is not obscured. The second full image may be received over the network.

  • Patent number: 9928062
Abstract: A software container image that includes components dependent on a first computer instruction set architecture (ISA) is ported to enable a container to execute using the container image on a computer having a second ISA different from the first. Porting the container image entails replacing components of the container image not compatible with the second ISA with equivalent components compatible with the second ISA. The porting is performed, in some instances, dynamically as part of running a container with the container image on a computer implementing the second ISA.

  • Publication number: 20170331877
Abstract: A method and system of fulfilling a request for a desired photo. A request from a first service subscriber for a desired photo in a first data packet is received. Upon determining that the photo capturing device has the location compatibility and the hardware compatibility to fulfill the request for the desired photo, a fulfillment request is sent in a second data packet to the photo capturing device. Upon receiving a response photo from the photo capturing device, it is determined whether the response photo accommodates the desired photo. Upon determining that the response photo accommodates the desired photo, the response photo is sent to the first service subscriber.

  • Publication number: 20170169378
Abstract: An approach is provided that creates a co-opetition index. The co-opetition index is created by mining data from online sources that are related to competitor activities associated with a competitor of an organization. The competitor is selected from many competitors of the organization. Possible business actions are automatically identified that correspond to the competitor activities. The set of possible business actions are analyzed using a game theory analysis. The game theory analysis results in an identification of next actions that maximize a payoff to the organization. The co-opetition index is adjusted based on a classification of the next actions on a competitiveness scale. The resulting co-opetition index is then provided to a user of the system.

  • Publication number: 20170149907
Abstract: An approach is described for identifying an entity associated with a communication in an online environment. A method pertaining to such approach may include receiving a communication within the online environment. The communication may be received via a communications network. The communication may include a plurality of sequential messages. The method further may include facilitating parsing, via natural language processing, of language in the communication corresponding to an entity and one or more sentiments associated with the entity. The method further may include determining whether the entity is unambiguously identifiable. Upon determining that the entity is not unambiguously identifiable, the method may include identifying the entity based upon Bayesian inference. According to an embodiment, determining whether the entity is unambiguously identifiable may include determining whether the entity is among a plurality of participants in the communication.

  • Patent number: RE46748
Abstract: The different illustrative embodiments provide a method, computer program product, and apparatus for converting a first image for a virtual machine formatted for a first virtual environment. A second image is created, wherein the second image is non-specific to any virtual environment. A determination is made whether a portion of files to be copied from the first virtual image to the second virtual image should be replaced using a compatibility matrix, wherein the compatibility matrix identifies changes between the first virtual environment and a second virtual environment. A replacement for the portion of the files is copied to the second image using the compatibility matrix responsive to a determination that the portion of the files in the set of files should be replaced. The file is copied to the second image responsive to an absence of a determination that the each file in the set of files should be replaced.
