  • Patent number: 10639819
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing polyolefin recyclates, in particular HDPE recyclates. In a specified sequence, color-mixed polyolefin-containing groups are washed at a low temperature, washed at an increased temperature in an alkaline medium, flake-sorted, and treated at an increased temperature in order to remove migration materials. By virtue of the aforementioned method, polyolefin recyclates can be obtained with a substantially improved degree of purity compared to hitherto commercially available recyclates, said recyclates being usable in the production of novel consumer product packaging. Additionally, unpleasant odors connected to known polyolefin recyclates due to the decomposition products of migration materials formed during the extrusion process are largely prevented.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 7, 2017
Date of Patent: May 5, 2020
Assignee: DER GRÜNE PUNKT—DUALES SYSTEM DEUTSCHLAND GMBH
Inventors: Michael Heyde, Ines Schwarz-Hilgenfeld, Stefan Wiethoff, Anna Ramsel, Nabila Rabanizada, Bryan-Cody Borchers

  • Patent number: 9174417
Abstract: A housing suitable to comprise multiple electrical power cells in electrically driven motor vehicles comprises at least one lower receiving part and one upper covering part. Both parts fit together and create inside a hollow space. Both parts are prepared from a multilayered material comprising at least one support layer of thermoplastic polymer and at least one cover layer of metal adhering to each other. Such housing is perfectly suitable to protect the power cells inside against mechanical damage and against the influence of fire and/or electromagnetic radiation.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 12, 2010
Date of Patent: November 3, 2015
    Assignee: Basell Polyolefine GmbH
Inventors: Bernd Hoecker, Klaus Müller, Ines Schwarz
  • Patent number: 9162420
Abstract: A solvent-free multilayer laminated material comprises a lower substrate layer comprising a thermoplastic polymer or a mixture of thermoplastic polymers, an intermediate layer arranged thereon and comprising a flexible material, a further fibrous intermediate layer comprising plastic, which is provided with an adhesive material and an upper layer comprising metal, comprising plastic or comprising wood or wood-like materials. It does surprisingly not show any deformation even under exposure to temperatures of about 80° C. over a period of up to 40 days and can be used for the production of articles of furniture, floor coverings, wall panels or shaped articles for the electrical, construction or automotive industry.
