  • Publication number: 20200384672
Abstract: To manufacture a motor vehicle composite component, plastic particles are introduced into a mold cavity of a mold and are connected there to one another to form a particle foam. The mold is then adjusted while the mold cavity changes, and a thermoplastic plastic is then injected into the mold cavity while a carrying element and/or at least one fastening element are formed, wherein the thermoplastic plastic is bonded to the particle foam at least by connection in substance. The aforementioned materials may also be introduced in the reverse order. The mold is then adjusted once again while the mold cavity changes, and a metal melt is then injected into the mold cavity, as a result of which an electrical strip conductor and/or at least one metallic fastening element are formed.

  • Patent number: 10675677
Abstract: A feed device for a metal melt in an injection molding device of, for example, a metal-molding machine has a reservoir for the metal melt and a feed duct, in which the metal melt can be fed to a mold cavity. The feed duct includes a cylinder bore, in which a piston is arranged axially displaceably. A collection chamber for the metal melt, from which the metal melt can be introduced into the mold cavity through a continuing line as a consequence of an axial displacement of the piston, is provided in the cylinder bore. The cylinder bore is surrounded by a first heater, which has at least one heating element.

  • Publication number: 20200035385
Abstract: A heating and/or cooling device for a solid or for a fluid stream includes a carrier part formed of plastic, in which an electrical heating and/or cooling element is embedded and held. A metallic distributor element is in contact with the heating and/or cooling element. At least one terminal contact and an electrical strip conductor, which connects the terminal contact to the heating and/or cooling element, are provided. The heating and/or cooling element are prefabricated and are connected to the carrier part formed of plastic by an injection molding process. Electrical strip conductors are prepared for connecting the heating and cooling element by a metal injection molding process or metal casting process.

  • Publication number: 20200009772
Abstract: For manufacturing a component formed of a plurality of moldings, which are made of plastic, are welded together. A first molding is manufactured in a first mold that has a first mold part and is then transported with the first mold part into a welding station. Correspondingly, a second molding is manufactured in a second mold that has a second mold part and is transported with the second mold part into the welding station. The mold parts holding the moldings are moved towards one another in the welding station such that the moldings are welded together. Additional moldings are manufactured in the molds simultaneously with the welding of the moldings.

  • Publication number: 20180290351
Abstract: A device (10) for producing moldings composed of a moldable foam has a multiplicity of sub-molds (11, 12) which in each case have a sub-cavity (14). The sub-cavities (14) act together to form a molding cavity (K). At least one of the sub-molds (11, 12) has a feed channel (35) through which plastics beads can be introduced into the molding cavity (K), and a steam chamber (24) from which superheated steam can be introduced through at least one steam channel (18) into the molding cavity (K). The at least one sub-mold (11, 12) has a first mold segment in which the sub-cavity (14) is present and a second mold segment in which the steam chamber (24) is present. The first mold segment has a first temperature-control system (15), and the second mold segment has a second temperature-control system (20).

  • Patent number: 9776346
Abstract: A particle foam component has a foam body, which is provided with a cover layer made of a plastic material at least in partial areas of its outer surface. The foam body has a compressed surface structure in its areas supporting the cover layer. The cover layer is bonded in substance to the compressed surface structure of the foam body. For producing the particle foam component, the foam body is foamed in a mold and the cover layer is foamed or molded integrally in a subsequent method step. A compressed surface structure is formed in the surface areas supporting the cover layer before applying the cover layer, and the cover layer is bonded in substance to the compressed surface structure.

  • Patent number: 9676024
Abstract: A conveying device for molten metal in an injection die casting unit, has a storage container for the molten metal and a conveying duct delivering the molten metal to a mold cavity. The conveying duct includes a cylinder bore with a piston disposed in an axially adjustable manner. A collection chamber, from which the molten metal is introduced through an onward line into the mold cavity upon axial displacement of the piston, is provided for the molten metal. An annular space, which is connected via at least one filling bore to the collection chamber, is formed between the outer wall of the piston and the inner wall of the cylinder bore. The filling bore, on an end which opens into the collection chamber, is closable by means of a valve body which is connected to an adjustable valve rod which is displaceably disposed in an axial bore of the piston.
