  • Publication number: 20180036773
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and a device for batching fish into cooling devices. The method and the device can be used for receiving fish after bleeding and gutting freshly caught fish on board a fishing vessel and batching the fish into cooling devices. The batching and cooling apparatus and method may be used to increase the value of the fish by shortening the time from the fish is caught until the fish is chilled for storing.

  • Publication number: 20140123686
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and a device for periodic in feeding of boxes containing food items into plate freezers. The invention solves problems relating to handling of boxes, where traditional methods damage the boxes and the ham the food objects within the boxes. The new method and device solve this problem in such an automatic and periodic manner that food items can be frozen in sensitive packing such as thin carton boxes.

  • Patent number: 7857686
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for automatically removing bones and trimming a product such as fish fillets, where the fillets are in an under cooled state. The under cooling makes the fillets sufficiently stiff to remove pin pones and portion a fillet before or after skinning the fillet in a relative still position providing better cutting than conventional methods. This provides more efficiency than prior art methods as well as increasing the value of the product due to less gaping and dehydration of the product. The method of the present invention further provides possibilities for grading of products processed with the three dimensional scanning and digital imaging of the products.

  • Patent number: 7615242
Abstract: The present invention includes a method for processing and trimming products such as fish fillets where the product is form frozen forming a thin frozen shell round the product and the subsequent processing of the product uses that condition to remove the fish skin and bones with more efficiency than any prior art methods whereas the quality of the product is increased due to less loss and less loss in liquid from the product than known by prior art methods.

  • Patent number: 7057118
Abstract: The present invention provides an automatic method and apparatus for weighing into portions. Feeding of single units is performed by separating the feeding channels for rough feeding and fine feeding so that the feeding up to the weighing station is separated. When weighed portions are too large compared to a predetermined value, the apparatus rejects the portions and returns them back to the feeding stream. By separating the stream of units into fine weighing and rough weighing, with a rejection of unsatisfied portions, the portions can accurately be weighed with high performance with apparatus that is both inexpensive and space saving.

  • Patent number: 6235332
Abstract: A method for increasing efficiency in the freezing of delicate items of food in freezing tunnels of the conventional type, including a freezing tunnel (8) having a device (6 and 7) for providing a strongly cooled flow of air to act as a freezing agent, at least two or more endless freezing conveyor belts (2, 3, 4) and (5) supported therein, a movable feeding conveyor (1) and a transfer conveyor (9), where the items of food do not tolerate being dropped from the upper freezing conveyors (2, 3, 4) onto the bottom freezing conveyor (5) until they have gained sufficient stiffness to preserve a nondeformable shape; the method including placing delicate items of food on the upper freezing conveyors (2, 3, 4), one at a time by a moveable feeding conveyor (1), where the upper freezing conveyors are stopped in a fixed sequence.

  • Patent number: 6066037
Abstract: A conveyor belt feeder for automatically transferring pieces of meat, such as salmon fillets, onto a transverse conveyor belt comprises a platform (2), which is carried by a support (1) and is displaceably arranged in a direction (3) to and fro said support. The platform (2) carries a transfer belt (35) for receiving the piece of meat in question. This transfer belt (35) extends beyond a front rim on the platform (2) and is operationally connected thereto in such a manner that its upward surface is moved forwards and around the front rim of the platform (2) substantially synchronously with the advancing movement of the platform (2). Driving means (15) are also provided for effecting the displacement of the platform (2).
