  • Patent number: 5018500
Abstract: The device comprises a housing formed by a cup-shaped body and a bell-shaped cover secured to the body, a deformable membrane secured to the housing and forming, together with the body, a chamber for the fuel, a movable shutter member designed to bring the chamber into communication with an outlet opening; the device is characterized in that at least one hole is provided in the base wall of the body for the inlet of the fuel into the chamber and a bearing seat for a sealing ring arranged so that it can be interposed between the seat and a corresponding seat of a housing in which the lateral wall of the body is inserted is provided on the lateral wall of the body.

  • Patent number: 4909475
Abstract: A valve comprising a body having a cylindrical sliding seat and an opening for the passage of air; a plunger sliding axially inside the aforementioned seat, for regulating the aforementioned air supply opening; and an electromagnet, the core of which presents a rod fitting through an axial hole on the plunger. According to the present invention, the plunger is connected elastically to the rod by means of two springs, each designed to exert elastic force on the plunger in the opposite direction to that of the other spring; regulating means being provided for enabling predetermined preloading of both springs.

  • Patent number: 4834623
Abstract: The pump comprises a casing in which is disposed a stator armature of an electric motor, a rotatable shaft to which is fixed a rotor winding and which is torsionally connected to an impeller rotor of the pump and a pair of covers which close the ends of the said casing and define between them a chamber within the casing for the fuel; a first end of the rotatable shaft is supported by a first seat formed within a cavity of a sleeve of a first cover projecting axially from the inner surface of the cover itself and the second end of this shaft is supported by a second seat formed in the second cover.

  • Patent number: 4569321
Abstract: A carburetor is provided which has a main barrel in which there is a throttle which turns integrally with a shaft. An idle system opens into the main barrel through three holes; and a lever is splined to the shaft and connected to the accelerator to open the throttle against the action of a spring. Stop devices operate on the lever to define a first position of the throttle for which the holes are upstream. A second lever is idle mounted on the shaft. This second lever uses pushers and operates against the action of a rod positioned by a rotating cam with an electromagnetic element, or electronic gear box to rotate the first lever. This second lever defines, when the accelerator is released, small opening positions of the throttle differing from the first position. A microprocessor gearbox processes the signals expressing the functioning conditions of the engine to operate the electromagnetic element or electronic gear box.

  • Patent number: 4524742
Abstract: A carburetor is provided which includes a sensor mounted in the engine head for monitoring cooling water temperature, and sensors for monitoring engine RPM and intake manifold absolute pressure. A first positioning unit positions the throttle valve, prior to depression of the accelerator, in a plurality of angular positions as a function of the cooling water temperature. A second positioning unit positions the choke valve as a function of the cooling water temperature to limit the amount of opening of the choke valve caused by air sucked into the carburetor by the engine. The second positioning unit has a spring for biasing the choke valve to close the choke valve to prevent swinging of the choke valve when the engine is turned off. A central processing unit receives signals from the first, second and third sensors to control the first and second positioning units to position the throttle valve and the choke valve respectively.
