  • Patent number: 8468681
Abstract: A method for establishing a wind turbine generator with one or more Permanent Magnet (PM) rotors. The method comprises the steps of: manufacturing a generator prepared for taking one or more PM rotors, manufacturing one or more rotors comprising a plurality of holding means prepared for retaining PM material, mounting substantially non-magnetized PM material prepared for magnetization in said holding means before or after said one or more rotors are mounted in said generator, connecting a magnetization system for magnetizing said PM material in the generator, and magnetizing said PM material with said magnetization system. The invention also relates to a wind turbine nacelle, a wind turbine comprising said wind turbine nacelle and use of a wind turbine.

  • Publication number: 20060175908
Abstract: The present invention relates to a mover for a linear oscillatory actuator to be linearly reciprocated, which is easy to assemble and manufacture and has improved durability. In a mover according to the present invention, permanent magnets and cores which have corresponding shapes are alternately arranged with each other, and this arranged state is fixed by virtue of fastening means. In another mover according to the present invention, plate-shaped cores are stacked one upon another, permanent magnets are inserted into insertion holes defined in the plate-shaped cores, and this inserted state is fixed by virtue of fastening means.

  • Patent number: 6538349
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a linear reciprocating flux reversal Permanent Magnetic (PM) machine in which stators are provided with air gap sections and interpole sections and magnets are inserted into a mover. The linear reciprocating flux reversal PM machine, comprises a pair of stators arranged to be opposite to each other, the stators each having two coils wound in opposite directions, and air gap sections and interpole sections alternately arranged on inside portions of the stator in a crosswise direction of the stator with the air gap sections of a first stator opposite to interpole sections of a second stator; a mover disposed between the stators to be reciprocated therebetween, the mover having one or more bar-shaped magnets longitudinally and vertically embedded therein; and a spring for returning the mover to an initial position thereof, the returning spring being connected to one or both ends of the mover.

  • Patent number: 5654596
Abstract: A linear electrodynamic machine (10) includes mover (12) and stator assemblies (14). The stator assembly (14) includes an inner stator having laminations (30-45) and an outer stator having laminations (60-75) for defining a closed loop magnetic flux path. A magnet (95) mounted on an outside portion of the stator assembly (14) produces a constant flux extending through the flux path. The inner and outer stators form at least one pair of aligned spaced apart magnetic poles (50, 80) forming a gap. A group of slugs (24) mounted on the mover assembly (12) moves into and out of the gap to interact electrodynamically with the magnetic flux within the gap. A linear electrodynamic machine (10) includes a stator assembly (14) having at least one pair of elongated stator poles (50, 80) defining a flux gap and having magnets (283A-288A) disposed thereon to interact electrodynamically with a group of slugs (24, 26) mounted on a mover assembly (12) for moving into and out of the gap.
