The device includes a shaft having first and second end portions and, a cutting end tool adapted to engage and bore into the fastener as the shaft is rotated, a drill bit portion proximal to the cutting end tool and adapted to engage and bore into the fastener, and a socket disposed about the shaft and a collet collar disposed about the socket.

Abstract: A device 100 to extract a fastener 102 from a workpiece 104 wherein the fastener 102 has a predetermined direction of engagement with the workpiece 104, includes a shaft 106 having first and second end portions 108 and 110, cutting end tool 112 adapted to engage and bore into the fastener 102 as the shaft 106 is rotated, a drill bit portion 114 proximal to the cutting end tool 112 and adapted to engage and bore into the fastener 102, and cutting threads 116 that penetrate the fastener 102 a predetermined distance while the drill bit portion 114 bores into the fastener 102 at a relatively “slow” speed, whereby the cutting threads 116 secure the shaft 106 to the fastener 102 and promote the rotation of the fastener 102 contrary to the fastener's 102 direction of rotational insertion into the workpiece to ultimately remove the fastener 102 from the workpiece 104.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for forming apertures and inserting fasteners in a workpiece is disclosed. One embodiment relates generally to a bit holder device for forming apertures and inserting fasteners into a workpiece. This embodiment comprises a tool bit, a hex holder member, an adapter hex member, a double collet member, a collet retention cap and a drill bit. The drill bit is capable of drilling an aperture into a workpiece whereupon the drill bit, the collet retention cap, the double collet member and the adapter hex member are removed from the hex holder member thereby, allowing the tool bit to forcibly insert a fastener into the workpiece.

Abstract: A fastener impact driver device includes a fastener engagement member having a plurality of projections disposed about a lower portion that engages a corresponding peripheral portion of a fastener. The device further includes a positioning member having an upper portion that ultimately receives a force thereupon, and a lower portion that engages a cooperating upper portion of the fastener engagement member whereby a force such a hammer strike is imparted upon the upper portion of the positioning member to drive the projections of the fastener engagement member into the head of the fastener without damage of the fastener engagement member, whereupon the positioning member is removed from the fastener engagement member and a hand tool is removably secured to the fastener engagement member to impart rotary motion to the member and the fastener thereby removing the fastener from or urging the fastener into a workpiece.

Abstract: The present invention provides a fastener that can be used with a variety of bits as well as a fastener with several security features that can be used only with a very specialized bit and, also, a fastener/bit combination that can be used in conjunction with high-torque power tools. Specifically, this invention allows the use of a straight blade, a three-blade or a five-blade driver with the same fastener head.

Abstract: A fastener impact driver device 10 includes a fastener engagement member 12 having a plurality of projections 14 disposed about a lower portion 16 that engages a corresponding peripheral portion 18 of a fastener 20. The device 10 further includes a positioning member 22 having an upper portion 24 that ultimately receives a force thereupon, and a lower portion 26 that engages a cooperating upper portion 28 of the fastener engagement member 12 whereby a force such a hammer strike is imparted upon the upper portion 24 of the positioning member 22 to drive the projections 14 of the fastener engagement member 12 into the head 44 of the fastener 20 without damage of the fastener engagement member 12, whereupon the positioning member 22 is removed from the fastener engagement member 12 and a hand tool is removably secured to the fastener engagement member 12 to impart rotary motion to the member 12 and the fastener 20 thereby removing the fastener 20 from or urging the fastener 20 into a workpiece.

Abstract: A bit-storing tool handle is provided that includes a surface of the handle defining a channel adapted to retain the bit, and a fulcrum point contained within the channel for rotating the retained bit out of the channel. The bit-storing tool handle may alternatively include a plurality of channels adapted to retain the bits such that the longitudinal axis of the retained bits are co-linear to the longitudinal axis of the handle and a fulcrum point within each of the channels that promotes the manual rotation of each of the bits about a cooperating fulcrum point so that upon such rotation, the bits extend radially from the longitudinal axis of the handle. The channels include an opening dimensioned and configured to allow the finger of a person to insert under a first end of the bit thereby facilitating the removal of the bit from the channel when an excessive amount of force is required to pivot the bit due to cold weather or similar conditions.

Abstract: A tool for removing conventional one way fasteners is provided, comprising a collar and a shank that can be removably received by the collar, wherein in the shank is configured to engage complementary regions of the fastener head. The collar includes a recess having longitudinal ridges to engage perimeter portions of the fastener head. The shank and collar cooperate to provide additional rotational force to the fastener to thereby extract the fastener, whether the fastener is flush-mounted or counter-sunk.

Still additionally, a unique product display rack container is disclosed having a pair of parallel generally polygonal-shaped side walls joined by a continuous perimeter wall having an access-giving opening to define a product-containing enclosure.
