Common information details in respective information details of the multiple meetings are identified. A virtual background selection rule that associates the common information details of each of the multiple meetings with the same virtual background is automatically generated. A determination is made that information details of a planned meeting matches the common information details. In response to determining that the information details of the planned meeting matches the common information details, the same virtual background of the virtual background selection rule is used for display during the planned meeting.
