  • Patent number: 6918702
Abstract: An optical connector system comprises at least one shield case (14) provided through a panel (12) at a through-hole of the panel, and at least one pair of housings (13 and 13?) provided in the shield case, each housing receiving at least one plug (17) and having at least one sleeve (15) for aligning and holding top end of the plug. The shield case comprises at least one insertion hole (25) in which the plug is inserted, a partition plate (24) made of a conductive material and provided between the pair of housings, and a flange portion (27) made of a conductive material and grounded to the ground of the panel. The partition plate and flange portion are provided such that leakage and entrance of electromagnetic waves from the through-hole of the panel are minimized.

  • Patent number: 6840681
Abstract: A tandem type optical connector (11) includes at least one tandem type adaptor (13) having opposite plug engaging cavities (19) each receiving an optical cable connector (14, 14?) and a shield cover (20, 31) provided over the adaptor (13) and having at least one panel fixing member (21) to attach the optical connector (11) to a panel at an angle other than right angles with respect to the panel (12).

  • Patent number: 6741783
Abstract: An adapter or connection comprises a plurality of adapter or connector sections (14) having plugging cavities (18) to which optical cable plugs (25) are detachably plugged. The plugging cavities (18) are arranged in a plane of a panel (32) at an acute angle to the plane thereby preventing light from entering the operator's eye upon plugging.

  • Publication number: 20030053760
Abstract: An optical connector system comprises at least one optical connector (11) provided through a panel (12) such that it is inclined with respect to the vertical direction and a shield cover (20 and 31) provided outside the optical connector. The optical connector system makes the shield easy to make, increases the assembling density, and simplifies the fixing and bending works.
