  • Publication number: 20230054220
Abstract: According to an embodiment, a fuel cell includes: a cell staked body 10 including a plurality of single unit fuel cells stacked one on another; a collecting plate 20 located on the cell stacked body 10 in a stacking direction; an insulating plate 30 located on the collecting plate 20; and a tightening structure 40 located on the insulating plate 30 and configured to hold the collecting plate 20 and the insulating plate 30 on the cell stacked body 10 by being tightened toward the cell stacked body 10. The tightening structure 40 includes a first tightening plate 41 including a planar portion in surface contact with the insulating plate 30, and a second tightening plate 42 located on the first tightening plate 41 and configured to press the first tightening plate 41 against the insulating plate 30 by being tightened toward the cell stacked body 10.

  • Publication number: 20230006238
Abstract: A fuel cell including: a fuel cell stack; a pair of end plates holding the fuel cell stack by tightening from both ends; and a plurality of gas manifolds fixed to the fuel cell stack and end plates with the sealing members therebetween to supply fuel and oxidant to each of fuel gas flow paths and oxidant gas flow paths of the fuel cell stack, the fuel cell includes: a gas manifold fixing band including: hold plates installed in contact with a back of the gas manifold; a hold plate connecting part connecting the hold plates installed on the backs of adjacent gas manifolds; and a band-tightening part connecting and tightening both ends of a series of hold plates and the hold plate connecting part.

  • Patent number: 4021188
Abstract: Burner arrangements for staged combustion to decrease nitrogen oxides (NOx) during the combustion of hydrocarbon fuel with air. The burner arrangements have a combustion into which hydrocarbon fuel and less than 70% of the stoichiometric air are introduced, and a path for the secondary air around the combustion chamber. A flame holding means is provided in one end of the combustion chamber to stabilize the substoichiometric combustion so that a partially burned gas containing mainly H.sub.2 and CO as combustible components is obtained. The combustion chamber has an exit, and there is an exit from the secondary air path near the exit of the combustion chamber. A discharging means for the partially burned gas is provided at the exit of the combustion chamber to vary the pattern of the flow of said partially burned gas by converting the enthalpy of said partially burned gas into kinetic energy.
