  • Patent number: 5172436
Abstract: The present invention relates to a mattress cushion, wherein it consists of a cushion mattress not using metal components like coil springs, the mattress body (1) is composed of overlapping elastic surface layers (6) (7) on both sides of a core portion (3) consisting of synthetic resin moldings sandwiched therebetween. Accordingly, the mattress cushion is light and there is no problem of rusting. Also, the core portion (3) is composed of alternately upper and lower horizontal walls (22), (23) connected by adjoining vertical side walls (21) (21), and protrusions (27) are formed on each vertical side wall (21). Accordingly, the mattress cushion increases in strength and improves the ventilation and comfort of the user.

  • Patent number: 5172347
Abstract: A time displaying apparatus is constituted in a manner that when a temperature sensor 54 or 55 installed in an electric appliance is turned on, a display controlling part changes-over the displaying operation by the numeric display 50 to a blinking operation, and thereby informs the user of that the electric appliance has risen in temperature above a predetermined value. Conventionally this kind of information is performed using an alarm buzzer or an alarm lamp, but in accordance with the present invention, such a special alarm component can be dispensed with, and there is no fear of incurring an increase in the number of parts and a rise in the cost.

  • Patent number: 5123406
Abstract: A motor-driven massaging apparatus obtains a massaging effect by applying pressure and vibration to a human body. The motor-driven massaging apparatus includes a finger-pressure roller which incorporates a DC-driven vibrator therein and operating handles project from both sides of the finger-pressure roller. A power supply part having batteries as a driving source is installed in the handle, and the vibrator is connected electrically to the power supply part. Batteries are used as a source of driving the vibrator, and therefore the location of use in not limited, and no connection of a cord is necessary.

  • Patent number: 4983851
Abstract: A contact therapeutical apparatus for giving physical treatments such as magnetic and heat therapies by contacting the human body. The apparatus includes a heat generating portion inside a case body, and a far infrared radiating material is contained in the case body or a cover member covering the case body. The far infrared radiating material is exited by heat from the heat generating portion to radiate infrared rays and to heat inside the body sufficiently. There is provided a uniformalizing layer in the case body or cover member for distributing heat uniformly, and the far infrared radiating material is contained in the layer. Thereby, the uniform heating action by the infrared rays is obtained and the body can be warmed over in a wide area.

  • Patent number: 4945900
Abstract: The present invention relates to a roller massaging apparatus performing massage by applying pushing pressure on a human body by means of a pushing pressure roller. The pushing pressure roller is supported rotatably on the operating hole of the pushing pressure roller 3 for inserting the operating shaft 2 is formed in an inner diameter large enough for the shaft diameter of the operating shaft 2, and a cavity part provided by the hollow part of the pushing pressure rollers is formed between the operating shaft and the inner peripheral surface of the pushing pressure roller on the operating shaft 2. In such a construction, even if the pushing pressure roller is deformed elastically, this deformation is absorbed by the cavity part, and the rolling operation of the pushing pressure roller 3 is not obstructed. In addition, a soft material giving a comfortable touch with the body can be used for the pushing pressure roller, resulting in an improvement in feeling during use.

  • Patent number: 4143435
Abstract: A mattress of foam rubber having a corrugated board disposed therein. Since the corrugated plate is substantially hard enough to straighten a sleeper's spinal cord, the sleeper can have a sound sleep while enjoying the soft feeling of foam rubber. Furthermore, the foam rubber is also provided with a number of round protrusions on its upper and lower surfaces as well as a number of magnets which are disposed in the valleys formed by those protrusions. Thus the sleeper can have a more sound sleep due to the effect of magnets.
