  • Publication number: 20200269198
Abstract: An expansion chamber includes a chamber body having a top portion above a bottom portion cooperatively forming a hollow chamber volume configured to temporarily contain an expansion of bubbles during an aeration process for aerating a liquid, including wine and other alcoholic beverages. The bottom portion has a bottom opening configured to engage an opening of an uncorked and/or opened wine bottle. The top portion has a top opening. The hollow chamber volume is configured to be in fluid communication with an inside of the uncorked and/or opened bottle when the bottom opening is engaged with the opening of the uncorked and/or opened bottle. A maximum inside diameter of the hollow chamber volume in a horizontal plane with respect to the uncorked and/or opened wine bottle set upon a horizontal surface is cooperatively formed between the top and bottom portions, wherein the maximum inside diameter is at least 2.50 inches.

  • Patent number: 10342270
Abstract: A rigid frame is sealed in a waterproof manner to a pair of pants and/or waders, where the frame forms a frame aperture separating an outside from an inside of the pair of pants and/or waders. A rigid lid is pivotably connected to the frame and configured to engage the frame aperture. The rigid lid in an open position allows access through the frame aperture and the rigid lid in a closed position does not allow access through the frame aperture. A seal is disposed between the frame and the lid forming a waterproof closure of the frame aperture when the lid is in the closed position. A latch is pivotably connected to the frame and configured to retain the lid in the closed position. A spring is disposed between the latch and the frame, the spring biasing the latch to retain the lid in the closed position.

  • Patent number: 10058134
Abstract: A rainproof pair of pants or a waterproof pair of waders includes a rigid frame sealed in a waterproof. The frame forms a frame aperture and a rigid lid is pivotably connected to the frame. A seal is disposed between the frame and the lid forming a waterproof closure of the frame aperture. When the density of the frame is first set to be 0.04 pounds per cubic inch and when the frame and lid are scaled so an area of the frame aperture is first set to be 7.205 inches squared, then the following is true: a mass moment of inertia taken at the frame center of mass about the frame x-axis is equal to or greater than 0.19 pound square feet; and a mass moment of inertia taken at the frame center of mass about the y-axis is equal to or greater than 0.27 pound square feet.

  • Publication number: 20140267461
Abstract: An LED-based light engine has a circuit board upon which at least one LED circuit is mounted. A power driver is also mounted on the circuit board. The power driver accepts an AC input power and outputs a DC output power that powers the LED circuit. The circuit board is divided into an LED zone and a driver zone, which are thermally insulated relative to one another so that heat does not flow between the LED and driver zones. Slots are formed through the circuit board between the LED zone and driver zone to further block heat flow between the LED and driver zones.

  • Patent number: 7649862
Abstract: The flexible through-connection process, operational in a Mobile Switch Center, that provides support for allowing the call routing processor of the Mobile Switch Center to independently perform a through-connection/switch-connection based on different types of calls so that the Mobile Switch Center can make a through-connection at different stages of the outgoing call leg. In operation, the present flexible through-connection process includes in the call control processor of the switching system a new parameter in the existing inter-process message which is sent to the call routing processor at call setup time. The values supported for this new parameter will be pre-defined in the Mobile Switch Center and used by the call routing processor to determine when to perform through-connection/switch-connection for an outgoing call leg.

  • Patent number: 7236791
Abstract: The present invention relates to wireless telephone networks, and more particularly to the allocation of radio channels to calls in CDMA-based systems when their Radio Access Networks (RAN) are congested. A Base Station (BS) receives a call origination from a mobile device. The BS communicates information about the call and about its radio availability to a Mobile Switching Center (MSC). The MSC determines the priority of the call and how the call should be treated by the BS based on the supplied information. The MSC communicates the treatment information and the priority information back to the BS. When the RAN is congested, high-priority calls are queued. These high-priority calls are served based on allocation specification in which radio channels may be assigned to low-priority calls, which are not queued, while there are still calls in the queue.

  • Patent number: 6956939
Abstract: An apparatus, method and system are provided for message-based intelligent tandeming of an incoming call to an application node in telecommunication systems. The various embodiments utilize a new parameter, referred to as a tandem parameter, to designate whether incoming calls to a particular subscriber are to be tandemed to an application node or are to be delivered directly to the subscriber. The preferred system embodiment includes an adjunct network entity, a database, and a switching center. The adjunct network entity, such as a service circuit node or service control point, has one or more application nodes or platforms, supporting various telecommunication services such as prepaid services, calling party pays services, and one number services. The database, such as a home location register or visitor location register, stores information such as subscriber profiles, and includes storing the tandem parameter.

  • Publication number: 20040202298
Abstract: The collect call party identification service disclosed enables a service provider to identify a person who makes an assistance-free collect call and to transmit the caller's identity on the called phone regardless of the phone number from which the call is made and before any charges are incurred. The service provider, in a database controlled by the service provider, lists and identifies each person in a defined group with a personal identification number such as his/her phone number, social security number or the like. The Collect Calling Party Identification service is invoked by using a prefix such as *99. A person listed in the service provider's database and having been assigned a personal identification number can make a collect call without the assistance of an operator by dialing *99 plus his/her personal identification number. Upon confirmation from the database that the caller is listed in the database, the caller making the collect call then inputs the number that he/she is attempting to reach.

  • Patent number: 6665532
Abstract: A mobile switching center (MSC) in accordance with the principles of the present invention provides access to a subscribers voice message center from the subscriber's roaming mobile station. The MSC is responsive to a “RemoteFeatureRequest” Invocation by the roaming mobile station in which the subscriber's directory number is the same as the dialed digits by routing the call from the mobile station to the subscriber's voice message center. The MSC may also be responsive to a “OriginationRequest” employing the subscriber's directory number as the dialed digits by routing the roaming mobile station's call to the subscriber's voice message center.

  • Publication number: 20020076021
Abstract: This is a service which can be offered by a telephone service provider to enable a caller ID subscriber to now positively determine the identity of a member of a defined group regardless of the phone number from which the call is made. The subscriber-defined group can have a maximum of ten members with assigned numbers from 0 to 9. Specifically, the subscriber can assign a number, i.e., the number 1 to a person such as his/her mother. Now, when the subscriber's mother calls the subscriber, the number of the phone from which the call is made will appear as the caller ID number plus the number 1. Thus, regardless of the phone from which the call is made, be it from a pay phone or a friend's phone, the number 1 will identify the caller as being the subscriber's mother. In another embodiment, a name can be used in place of the number and, therefore, the name Mom can appear instead of the number 1.
