  • Patent number: 11584475
Abstract: An electric bicycle assembly for propelling a bicycle includes a bicycle that includes a first chain sprocket and pedals coupled to the first chain sprocket for rotating the first chain sprocket to propel the bicycle. A second chain sprocket is coupled to the first chain sprocket such that the second chain sprocket is rotated when the first chain sprocket is rotated. A generator is coupled to the bicycle and the generator is rotated to generate electrical energy when the pedals are pedaled. A motor is coupled to the bicycle and the motor is in mechanical communication with the rear wheel. The motor rotates the rear wheel when the motor is turned on for propelling the bicycle.

  • Patent number: 6000890
Abstract: A retractable self-locking cleat for rope, cable and like including means forming a base that can be mounted to a truck body, deck or other surfaces which includes an opening, recess, well or cavity into which an improved self-locking cleat component can be retracted. The cleat component is pivotably secured to the base and can be rotated into and out of the recess. The pivotable connection between the self-locking cleat component and the base may include a pivot pin and slot configuration that permits the cleat component to be maintained in its extended position once rotated thereinto or until it is repositioned so that it can be pivoted into its retracted position. Suitable bolts or other fasteners may be used to secure the base to the apertured wall, deck or other surface. In an alternative embodiment, the base is formed into a classical, fixed cleat configuration having a cavity formed in its midsection for receiving a retractable self-locking cleat component pivotably attached to the fixed base.

  • Patent number: 4760380
Abstract: An interior door knob for conventional lockable door latches includes a hollow knob with a cylindrical neck having conventional means for engaging and rotating the latch spindle to mechanically move the door bolt and an actuator mechanically engaging the locking mechanism of the door latch and extending through the cylindrical neck into the housing and being movable between a first and a second position. A battery, an acoustic/visual indicating means and a normally-open microswitch electrically connected in series are mounted in a component module received within the knob housing. The microswitch switches responsive to the position of the actuator for indicating when the locking mechanism of the door latch is not locked.
