  • Patent number: 9916499
Abstract: A method for linking objects to electronic content is disclosed. The method includes providing a digital copy of a layout of an object; processing the digital copy for distinguishing text objects each associated with a visual form of at least portion of a word or a combination of adjacent words in the layout, and determining bounding boxes of the text objects; coding each text object in a binary descriptor corresponding to its visual form, whereby the coding includes: scaling the bounding box of the text object to a fixed size binary image, and flattening the binary image to form the binary descriptor; representing the layout in a binary vector formed as an array of the binary descriptors of at least the text objects in the layout; and assigning hashwords to the binary descriptors, for converting the binary vector into a searchable text form.

  • Publication number: 20150242684
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for linking printed objects to electronic content, comprising: a) providing at least one digital copy of a printed object to a server's database, wherein said digital copy represents at least portion of said printed object, wherein the content layout of both the digital copy and the printed object is the same; b) providing association of at least one section at the layout of said digital copy with an electronic content, either by extracting and saving the coordinates of each link in the digital copy or via an external list of links; c) processing said digital copy for distinguishing between two types of objects: text objects and non-text objects, wherein each text object represent at least portion of a word or a combination of at least two or more adjacent words in any orientation with respect to the plane of said printed object; d) coding each object from both types of objects according to its visual shape and its reference location with respect to a defined coordina

  • Publication number: 20120116251
Abstract: A pressure detection mat is disclosed, comprising a plurality of pressure-detection sensors. The mat is configured to be placed between a subject and a platform and to couple with a pressure-wound prevention system. The pressure wound prevention system is configured to receive data from the sensors within pressure detection mats, process, interpret and analyze the data, and display the analyzed data to a user. This pressure wound prevention system aims to assist in the prevention of bedsores in immobilized patients, and may be particularly useful in home care environments, acute care facilities, long term care facilities, hospices, hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities and the like.

  • Publication number: 20120059237
Abstract: A system and method is described for non-invasive monitoring of blood glucose levels. The system includes a pulse-sensor unit configured to detect a pulse wave travelling through a blood vessel and a processor unit configured to determine pulse wave velocity, to calculate the blood density and so to determine blood glucose level. Various embodiments include pulse-sensor arrays and wearable units configured to communicate with insulin pumps worn about the person of the subject.
