  • Patent number: 5775597
Abstract: A misting system having a supply of a fluid, a feed line in fluid communication with the supply of the fluid, and at least one spray nozzle in fluid communication with fluid in the feed line for dispensing a fluid spray, wherein at least a portion of the exterior surface of the fed line is five-sided. Preferably, at least a position of each of four sides is perpendicular to the adjacent side and the fifth side is intermediate two of these sides to form an obtuse angle at the intersection thereof. The five-sided feed line of the present invention can be mounted so that it presents either a "square" or a "triangular" appearance so that the present invention provides an aesthetically-pleasing feed line that can be mounted to give two different appearances. The misting system also uses a first solenoid valve to spray intermittently and a second solenoid valve to decrease the pressure in the system after each spray cycle and to backflush the system filter.

  • Patent number: 5762661
Abstract: A mist-refining humidification system for humidifying a controlled environment which incorporates a mist generation means totally immersed within a flowing air stream and a multi-direction, mist migration path to deliver a very fine mist to a humidity controlled environment. In accordance with the most preferred embodiments, the mist-refininig humidification system comprises a mist nozzle assembly positioned within the controlled environment and totally immersed within a laterally flowing air stream to deliver a mist into a mist-refininig assembly. The mist-refining assembly, also located within the controlled environment, defines a mist migration path that includes changing path directions to aid in removing and breaking up larger droplets found in the mist.

  • Patent number: 4914339
Abstract: A misting system is constructed of plastic pipe having a square cross-section, the pipe being dark inside and light outside so that the outside matches the counter and the inside absorbs ultra violet light. The plastic pipe is drilled and threaded to receive nozzle assemblies where needed. Each nozzle assembly includes a valve, and two angled branches, the branches being rotatable about the assembly while the nozzle branches are rotatable about their axes. The square pipe includes fittings for directing the pipe as required, and mounting brackets for mounting the pipe. The brackets are clevises that receive the pipe therein, and include keepers for securing the pipe.
