Abstract: There is disclosed techniques for use in providing an optimal configuration for a data storage system. In one example, a method comprises the following steps. A request is received from a user to assist in the configuration of the data storage system. The request is received remote from the data storage system and includes values of application workload parameters. Optimal configuration parameters are determined for the data storage system in response to receiving the request. The optimal configuration parameters are determined based on the application workload parameters and one of a model and application best practices. Additionally, the optimal configuration parameters are provided to a target system such that the target system is able to establish the optimal configuration for the data storage system.

Abstract: Information processing techniques are disclosed for managing knowledge across a distributed entity. For example, a method comprises the following steps. A database of information is maintained representing knowledge attributable to at least one distributed entity. An interface is provided for presenting at least a portion of the information maintained in the database and for presenting one or more responses to one or more queries to the database. At least a portion of the one or more responses is indicative of at least one of an expansion, a transfer and a leveraging of the knowledge attributable to the at least one distributed entity.

Abstract: A method is used in managing quality testing. Quality tests are mapped to characteristics of a product under test. Based on the mapping and a result of a previously executed quality test, a respective relevance level is determined for each of the quality tests. Based on the relevance levels, a priority is determined among the quality tests.
