  • Publication number: 20160230500
Abstract: A formation of a borehole casing by application of material layers is achieved by means of kinetic sputtering. Specifically, the formation is achieved by additive kinetic sputtering of metallic, non-metallic and composite materials using acceleration and heating of material powder particles and subsequent plastic deformation of deformable powder fraction upon the impact onto the surface. The accelerated and heated particles of material in the form of powder impinge onto the surface of a borehole wall and/or on a mould and/or onto the surface of a previous layer of the casing in such manner that they form the layered composite casing on the inside wall of the borehole and/or on the mould, particularly in a liquid medium.

  • Publication number: 20150345225
Abstract: Multimodal rock disintegration by non-contact thermal effect, spallation, melting, evaporation of a rock through a movable electric arc, arc thermal expansion and subsequent shock pressure wave allows in comparison with currently available and known technologies to drill into the rock by direct action of the electric arc and heat flows generated by the electric arc. The principle of the disintegration is based on the electric arc generation, force action to it and pressing it towards the rock intended to disintegrate, which causes heating of the rock so that a phase change and thermal disintegration of the rock occurs. Subsequently, the crushed rock is transported by a fluid streams, which are involved in stabilizing and guiding of the electric arc, from the area between the rock and the electric arc, which is the area of the rock disintegration.

  • Publication number: 20150233206
Abstract: The invention lies in the gradual treatment of rocks vapours in a mixture of carrier and cooling gases and their gradual applying in layers which are forming a casing on walls of a borehole. The invention includes the adjustments of various quantities and types of additives in the layers and the additive method applied materials by their autonomous self-cooling without the need for external coolant by heat exchange between materials in various layers, where it forms the casing on the walls of the borehole. It describes functional parts and their interconnection: arrangement of cooling parts, separators, accelerating and mixing elements, mechanisms for their adjustments which allow forming the casing on the walls of the borehole with the possibility to influence the resulting characteristics of the casing according to demands and functional requirements in the place of the borehole.

  • Patent number: 8082996
Abstract: Utilization of geothermal energy in depths above 5 km could contribute considerably to resolving the global problems related to a lack of energy and to glasshouse gases from fossil fuels. The invention describes innovative equipment which makes deep holes in geological formations (rock) by disintegrating the soil into blocks carried to the land surface through the excavated hole filled with liquid, using transport modules yielded up by gas buoyancy interaction in the transport module utilizing supercavitation. In an opposite direction—by help of negative buoyancy—the necessary energy carriers, materials and components, or entire devices required for rock excavation, are carried to the bottom. The opportunity to transport rock in entire blocks reduces energy consumption considerably, because the rock is disintegrated in the section volumes only. Some of the extracted rock and material carried from the surface is used to make a casing of the hole using a part of the equipment.
