  • Patent number: 11115625
Abstract: At a video conference endpoint including a camera, a microphone array, and one or more microphone assemblies, the video conference endpoint may divide a video output of the camera into one or more tracking sectors and detect a head position for each participant in the video output. The video conference endpoint may determine within which tracking sector each detected head position is located. The video conference endpoint may determine active sound source positions of the actively speaking participants based on sound being detected or captured by the microphone array and microphone assemblies, and may determine within which tracking sector the active sound source positions are located. For each tracking sector that contains an active sound source position, the video conference endpoint may update the positional audio metadata for that particular tracking sector based on the active sound source positions and the detected head positions located in that tracking sector.

  • Patent number: 9674453
Abstract: At a video conference endpoint including a microphone array and a camera, different camera framings are established to frame different views of a talker based on different sets of pan, tilt, and focal length settings of the camera. Different video frames of the different views are captured using the different camera framings, respectively. A sound source direction of the talker relative to the microphone array in a fixed three-dimensional (3D) global coordinate system is determined for the different views based on sound from the talker detected by the microphone array. The sound source direction relative to the microphone array is converted to different sound source positions in planar coordinates relative to the different video frames based on the different sets of pan, tilt, and focal length settings, respectively. The different video frames, the sound, and the different sound source positions in planar coordinates are transmitted.

  • Patent number: 9485587
Abstract: In one embodiment, a speaker device assembly includes a first voice coil assembly moveable along an axis of a magnetic field of a magnetic core responsive to an induced current to facilitate pressure variations in a medium, and cause recoil vibration on a speaker device assembly structure. The speaker device assembly further includes a second voice coil assembly having a counter balance mass that accounts for at least a mass of the first voice coil assembly, and moveable along the axis of the magnetic field in a direction opposite the first voice coil assembly to attenuate the recoil vibration on the speaker device assembly structure, when the first voice coil assembly moves along the axis of the magnetic field.
