  • Publication number: 20200338629
Abstract: A method of manufacturing molds and cores suitable for producing fiber composite bodies or cast parts of metal or plastic from a mold base material and a multicomponent binder by 3D printing includes pretreating the particulate mold base material with at least one silicon-organic compound having a polar hydrophilic end and a nonpolar hydrophobic end, forming a layer of the pretreated particulate mold base material, and applying the binder or at least one component of the binder in liquid form to the layer, wherein b. and c. are repeated.

  • Patent number: 8033315
Abstract: A casting tool for the production of castings, particularly cores for sand castings, pressure die-castings, and gravity die-castings is provided. The casting tool has a casting tool unit with a casting mold half having a mold recess the contour of which partly defines the shape of the casting, and an ejecting assembly disposed on that side of the casting mold half which faces away from the mold recess. The ejecting assembly has an ejecting rod which extends through an access bore into the mold recess in the casting mold half. An entrainer unit is attached to the ejecting assembly. The entrainer unit and a contact surface provided on the casting tool unit jointly define the maximum distance of the casting tool unit from the ejecting assembly.

  • Publication number: 20100239703
Abstract: The invention relates to a casting tool for the production of castings (20), in particular a sand casting tool, comprising a mold element (12) having a mold recess (14b), which at least partly defines the contour of the casting (20) to be produced, an ejector holding device (40) which is movable in the direction of a Z-axis relatively to the mold element (12) and is disposed on the that side of the mold element (12) which faces away from the mold recess (14b), and at least one ejector rod (50), which is attached to the ejector holding device (40) and is capable of being inserted through an access bore (30) in the mold element (12), oriented in the direction of the Z-axis, so as to protrude into the mold recess (14b) for the purpose of pushing out the finished casting (20) from the mold recess (14b), wherein the attachment of the ejecting rod (50) to the ejector holding device (40) is effected in such a manner that the ejector rod (50) has restricted freedom of movement relatively to the ejector holding device

  • Publication number: 20100236744
Abstract: 1. Method for installing a sand casting tool and appropriate casting tool. 2.1. The invention relates to a method for installing a sand casting tool comprising at least one mold element (10) having a mold recess (14a) which at least partially defines the contour of a sand casting to be produced, at least one leveling rod holding device (40) which is displaceable in the direction of a Z-axis relative to said mold element (10) and which is disposed on the side of the mold element (10) facing away from said mold recess (14a), at least one leveling rod (30) capable of being inserted through an access bore (20) in said mold element from the outside surface of said mold element (10) as far as said mold recess (14a) and which can be attached in a fixed position to said leveling rod holding device (40). 2.2. The invention includes the following steps: A. insertion of the leveling rod (30) in the direction (2) of the Z-axis into the access bore (20) of said mold element (10), and B.
