  • Publication number: 20130225345
Abstract: A method for producing high-performance chain link plates with a link plate pitch T, comprises: clocked feeding of a sheet metal band with a feed length V per cycle, pre-punching at least two chain link plate blanks arranged in succession, re-cutting at least one chain link plate blank, wherein at least the still connected head areas of the chain link plate blanks arranged in succession are excepted from the re-cutting process separating the connected head areas of chain link plate blanks arranged in succession, wherein the feed length V is smaller than 2.1×T and the upper and/or lower side of the head areas connected to each other is/are provided at least partially with a concave run by a punching process substantially adjacent to the end face produced later. A method is also provided for producing a high-performance chain and to correspondingly produced high-performance link plates and high-performance chain.

  • Publication number: 20130196804
Abstract: A link chain has alternating inner and outer chain links connected by a chain articulation, having a direction of motion, wherein each inner chain link has at least one inner plate, and each outer chain link has at least two outer plates and two chain link pins connecting these plates, each pin being rotationally fixed in a pin opening of the associated outer plate and extending through a link opening of the associated inner chain link to form a chain articulation. The inner and/or outer chain links have plate backs contactable with a tensioning rail or guide rail. A forward region of the plate backs in the direction of motion of a part of the inner and/or outer plates extends at an angle to a plane projected between the center lines of the pin openings or link openings. The vertex of the angle points away from the direction of motion.

  • Publication number: 20130196803
Abstract: The invention refers to a toothless link chain with alternating chain links, wherein inner and outer link plates of the chain links have a substantially identical height profile. The link plate backs of the inner or outer link plates, which are brought into contact with a guide rail, have an at least partial height offset to the link plate backs of the other link plates. A connecting line through the center points of the joint openings of each link plate divides the corresponding link plate into a first link plate section located above and a second link plate section located below the connecting line, where said second link plate section is asymmetric to the first link plate section, at least with respect to the height profile, and wherein the inner link plates are assembled at a 180° rotation.

  • Publication number: 20130190117
Abstract: A tensioning device is provided for an endless drive device, having a housing, a spring-loadable tensioning piston in a piston bore of the housing, a transport locking device, and a device to adjust the working range of the tensioning piston with a retainer element on the housing having at least one spring arm and a retainer profile arranged in the forward section of the tensioning piston in the tensioning direction. The transport locking device comprises a transport groove in the tensioning piston, the spring arm of the retainer element being engageable into the transport groove, and an unlocking element, wherein the unlocking element has at least one ramp section potentially in functional contact with the spring arm. The ramp section exerts an unlocking force on the spring arm over a travel path of the unlocking element relative to the tensioning piston, forcing said spring arm out of the transport groove.

  • Publication number: 20130178317
Abstract: The damping device of the tensioning device has at least one damping channel that is open in both flow directions as a component of the fluid supply in such a way that during operation at least a portion of the supply stream is fed through the at least one damping channel into the pressure reservoir, and the damping device and the venting device are coupled with each other by fluid engineering means such that a drainage flow from the pressure reservoir occurs via the damping device and the venting device in combination, and the supply flow occurs predominantly independently of the venting device.
