  • Publication number: 20130174457
Abstract: A firearm with dual charging handles is a rifle having a frame defining an elongated bolt passage, a bolt assembly received within the bolt passage and operable to reciprocate between a forward battery position and a rearward retracted position, a first elongated charging handle having a rear end extending rearward of the rear aperture of the frame, an intermediate portion received in the aperture, and a forward end within the bolt passage and adapted to operably contact the bolt, the frame defining an elongated slot parallel to the bolt passage and communicating therewith, and a second charging handle having a handle portion external of the bolt passage, an intermediate portion extending through the slot, and a contact element adapted to operably contact the bolt. The first charging handle may have a T shape. The second charging handle may include a dust cover overlaying the slot.

  • Publication number: 20070188838
Abstract: We have designed, built and operated an innovative JTOC system utilizing a holographic photopolymer as the square law detector to record the holographic data for one-step correlation signal requisition in real time. The resultant high-resolution, high-speed JTOC is useful to perform real-time pattern recognition. An example application that has been demonstrated is fingerprint verification.

  • Publication number: 20050209478
Abstract: Novel polydioxaborines are prepared by polymerizing novel monomers that contain a dioxaborine group. Polydioxaborines are readily soluble, excellent film formers, and have semiconducting properties useful in various applications.

  • Publication number: 20050173683
Abstract: The present invention provides compounds and compositions, which include: at least one chromophore having strong simultaneous two-photon or multi-photon absorptivity; at least one acid- or radical-generator in close proximity to the chromophore; such that the single- or multi-photon excitation of the chromophore results in the generation of an acid and/or redical that is capable of activating chemistry; and such that compositions of matter based on the componds and compositions of the invention can be photo-patterned by one- or multiphoton excitation.

  • Publication number: 20050123760
Abstract: Light-emitting chromophores (lumophores) that emit different colored light may be covalently attached to a nanoparticle core such as a silsequioxane. The light emission profile of the resulting lumophore-functionalized nanoparticle is the sum of the light emission of all of the lumophores attached to the nanoparticle. In some embodiments, the lumophore-functionalized nanoparticle is white light-emitting.

  • Patent number: 6497464
Abstract: A drawer slide assembly includes an adjustable detent mechanism to provide adjustable hold in force and inhibit inadvertent opening of the drawer. The drawer slide assembly comprises an outer, an intermediate and an inner slide member. Each of the members are slidably engaged with the adjacent slide member. An adjustable detent mechanism is mounted on the inner slide member adjacent the front end of the slide. The adjustable detent mechanism defines an envelope in which an adjustable arm is rotatably positioned to bear against the envelope at selected positions to adjust the shape of the envelope and thereby provide a variable detent or hold in force depending upon the position selected by the user. The force necessary to open the drawer is determined by the amount of detent or hold in force selected.

  • Patent number: 5895101
Abstract: An improved drawer slide member ball bearing raceway. The improved raceway comprises a square U-channel shape with double indentations restricting lateral movement of the ball bearings contained therein. Alternatively, a shoulder may be formed in the raceway restricting lateral movement of the ball bearings in the direction towards a web of the slide member, thereby providing both ball bearing float and reducing the amount of lean of an inner or intermediate slide member.
