  • Patent number: 8408232
Abstract: A sequence valve for a hydraulic circuit provides a control signal through a control signal port to a pressure responsive flow source to maintain pressure in an accumulator between a low pressure setting and a high pressure setting. The valve includes accumulator, flow source and drain ports, in addition to the control signal port. A spool controls communication between the control signal port and the drain port. A piston is moved by pressure in the accumulator port against a control spring to close communication between the control signal port and the flow source port, and to move the valve spool to close communication between control signal port and the drain port. A differential between the net cross sectional area of the spool establishes the differential between the high and low pressure settings of the accumulator.

  • Patent number: 8375992
Abstract: A solenoid operated valve and method of assembly characterized by a threaded connection between the pole piece (69) and the cage (11), the threaded connection (75) including a first threaded connecting portion fixed in relation to the pole piece and a second threaded connecting portion fixed in relation to the cage and in threaded engagement with the first threaded portion such that relative rotation of the first and second threaded portions would vary the axial spacing between the proximal end of the pole piece and the valve seat (38) over a range of adjustment; and an anti-rotation device interposed between the first and second threaded connecting portions for locking the first and second threaded connecting portions against relative rotation to fix the axial spacing between the proximal end of the pole piece and the valve seat within such range of adjustment, which axial spacing regulates the maximum pressure that can be supplied to the control port (25).

  • Publication number: 20110067767
Abstract: Sequence valves 10 (FIGS. 1-7) and 210 (FIG. 8) are disclosed for use in a hydraulic circuit (FIG. 2). Sequence valve 10 provides a control signal through a control signal port 20, 60 to a pressure responsive flow source 122 to maintain pressure in an accumulator 124 between a low pressure setting (point b in FIG. 7) and a high pressure setting (point c in FIG. 7). When the pressure in the accumulator 124 falls from its high pressure setting to its low pressure setting, the control signal from control signal port 20 of the sequence valve 10 increases (from point f to point g in FIG. 7). When this occurs, the flow source 122 is loaded and operates to provide fluid flow to charge the accumulator 124. When the pressure in the accumulator 124 reaches its high pressure setting, the control signal from the control signal port 20 falls to a low level (point i in FIG. 7) and remains at that low level until the accumulator 124 again needs to be charged.

  • Patent number: 6030232
Abstract: An electrical circuit board card connection system is disclosed which comprises a wedge-operated locking mechanism disposed along an edge portion of the printed circuit board. An extrusion along the edge of the circuit board mates with an extrusion fixed to the card cage having a plurality of electrical connectors. The connection system allows the connectors to be held away from the circuit board during insertion/extraction and provides a constant mating force once the circuit board is positioned and the wedge inserted. The disclosed connection system is a simple solution to the need for a greater number of electrical signal connections.
