Publication number: 20240175902Abstract: An improved PCB Rogowski coil addresses the challenges presented by space constraints within circuit interrupters. The disclosed coil comprises a plurality of PCBs that are coupled together, in contrast with known coils constructed from only a single PCB. During a pre-assembly stage, three PCBs are coupled to one another in order to form a partial coil assembly structured to be mounted onto a circuit interrupter primary conductor. After the partial coil assembly is mounted onto the primary conductor, a fourth PCB is connected to the partial coil assembly via press-fit connectors to form a complete coil. In contrast with known PCB Rogowski coils which are structured to be mounted perpendicularly to the primary conductor, the disclosed modular PCB Rogowski coil enables a substantial portion of the PCB surface area to be mounted in parallel to the primary conductor and to thus occupy significantly less space than known PCB Rogowski coils.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 28, 2022Publication date: May 30, 2024Applicant: EATON INTELLIGENT POWER LIMITEDInventors: Zhixi Deng, Santhosh Kumar Chamarajanagar Govinda Nayaka, Xin Zhou, Jianyang Liu, Theodore J. Patent number: 11994452Abstract: An apparatus attaches to a microscope slide to form an enclosed fluidic chamber with input and output ports, where a tissue or cell sample on the slide can be processed using techniques such as immunohistochemical staining. Flow of reagents within the chamber can be laminar and highly uniform across the sample surface to achieve staining that is free of gradients. The sample can be imaged prior to, during, or after any given processing step. Methods for staining and imaging a sample can be implemented through one or more rounds of labeling, label removal or erasure and imaging. Samples can be imaged many times to achieve very high multiplexing levels. Samples can be placed on an imaging apparatus at various times and removed from the imaging apparatus for certain steps.Type: GrantFiled: June 15, 2020Date of Patent: May 28, 2024Assignee: Akoya Biosciences, Inc.Inventors: Julia Kennedy-Darling, Peter J. Controlling medical infusion device operation and features based on detected patient sleeping status
Patent number: 11992656Abstract: A method of operating an insulin infusion device involves: operating the infusion device in an automatic mode to automatically control delivery of insulin to a user, in accordance with a first target glucose setpoint value; receiving user status data that indicates sleeping status of the user, the user status data generated by a sleep detection system; and determining, from the user status data, that the user is sleeping while the insulin infusion device is operating in the automatic mode. In response to the determining, the method transitions from the first target glucose setpoint value to a second (different) target glucose setpoint value for use during the automatic mode, the transitioning occurring without user input. The method continues to operate the infusion device in the automatic mode to automatically control delivery of insulin to the user, in accordance with the second target glucose setpoint value.Type: GrantFiled: August 28, 2020Date of Patent: May 28, 2024Assignee: MEDTRONIC MINIMED, INC.Inventors: Lavie Golenberg, Louis J. Patent number: 11990249Abstract: A fuel element has a ratio of area of fissionable nuclear fuel in a cross-section of the tubular fuel element perpendicular to the longitudinal axis to total area of the interior volume in the cross-section of the tubular fuel element that varies with position along the longitudinal axis. The ratio can vary with position along the longitudinal axis between a minimum of 0.30 and a maximum of 1.0. Increasing the ratio above and below the peak burn-up location associated with conventional systems reduces the peak burn-up and flattens and shifts the burn-up distribution, which is preferably Gaussian. The longitudinal variation can be implemented in fuel assemblies using fuel bodies, such as pellets, rods or annuli, or fuel in the form of metal sponge and meaningfully increases efficiency of fuel utilization.Type: GrantFiled: July 22, 2019Date of Patent: May 21, 2024Assignee: TERRAPOWER, LLCInventors: Jesse R.
