  • Patent number: 11987216
Abstract: A rock knocker bracket holds a rock ejector such as a chain or bar that is used to clear debris from the gap between two tires of a mining vehicle. The rock ejector is pivotally mounted on a horizontal, lateral pin that is held at both ends by side plates of the bracket. The pin has a series of holes formed along its length. Bar retainers and washers mounted on the pin allow the rock ejector to be moved laterally along the pin and thereby provide for different laterally spacing configurations of the tires. Fasteners pass through holes in the bar retainers and the holes in the pin to hold the rock ejector at a predetermined lateral location along the pin. Alternative designs for the pin and the bracket include other systems for laterally moving the rock ejector and mounting it in the predetermined lateral position.

  • Publication number: 20240146232
Abstract: A method and system for using a field factory for solar panel pre-assembly is disclosed. A solar farm site may be difficult to configure. Thus, a field factory proximate to the site may be used for pre-assembly. As one example, the field factory may be used to configure the solar modules, such as for electrical and/or mechanical configuration, and to test the configuration prior to transport to the solar farm site. At the site, the configured solar modules may be installed onto the torque tubes. As another example, the field factory may be used to configure the solar modules, to mechanically connect the solar modules to the torque tubes to form solar module-torque tube combinations, and to test the combinations prior to transport to the solar farm site. At the site, the solar module-torque tube combinations may be installed, either directly or indirectly, onto piles previously driven into the ground.

  • Publication number: 20240102777
Abstract: Training ammunition that may be utilized by the U.S. Army, Marines and other Armed Forces that conduct training exercises with about 20 mm to 155 mm cartridges. The munition would electronically generate/initiated a signature that would become present at the target. The user would be able to observe the signature with the unaided eye during day or night training, or with devices such as night vision goggles/monocular or thermal sites. The generated signature would not utilize any explosives or pyrophoric iron powders, and would not create an increased fire hazard risk to the user. The munition would be able to survive typical rough handling and firing weapon malfunctions without becoming unusable, or causing delays in training exercises.
