    Abstract: A sensor arrangement for detecting a rotational angle of a flux element on a circular path about a rotational axis contains coil groups having flat coils in the same rotational angle region on a plane concentric with the rotational axis in parallel with the circular path, the inductance of the flat coils being dependent on the rotational angle of the flux element. An evaluation device evaluates the inductance and individual rotational angle of the flux element for each flat coil and the rotational angle from at least two matching individual rotational angles. In an electric machine, the flux element is coupled to the rotor and the coil groups are coupled to the stator, or vice versa. A corresponding method is also disclosed.

    Abstract: A method for determining a steering angle offset (LWO) in a vehicle having a steering unit and a steering angle sensor. A first frequency distribution (HV1) of the steering angle (LW) is determined over a number of steering angles according to at least one dynamic vehicle parameter (Q, G, V), and the average value (MW1) of the steering angle (LW) is determined from the first frequency distribution (HV1). The next step tests whether the steering angle (LW) in the first frequency distribution (HV1) is distributed symmetrically around the average value (MW1) and, when there is symmetry of the first frequency distribution (HV1) around the average value (MW1), the first frequency distribution (HV1) is carried over into a second frequency distribution (HV2). When the overall number of steering angles (LW1) in the second frequency distribution (HV2) exceeds a prespecified threshold value (S), the steering angle offset (LWO) is determined from the average value (MW2) of the second frequency distribution (HV2).

    Abstract: One or several vibration dampers of a vehicle suspension have a damping force arrangement wherein a control signal is computed within the actuating range in accordance with a standard control method for adjusting the damper characteristic. The drive of a damper adjustable in accordance with this invention is so improved that body movements (notwithstanding a harder adjusted damping for critical driving situations) are substantially suppressed as early as possible. In specific driving situations, the adjusting range of the damper force is changed in that the upper limit of the adjusting range is raised or lowered and/or the lower limit of the adjusting range is raised or lowered. A soft damper setting takes place preferably in dependence upon signals which announce or display a change of the vehicle longitudinal deceleration or vehicle transverse acceleration.

    Abstract: A level control system for a motor vehicle having a vehicle body includes a plurality of air springs which can be filled or discharged with pressurized air to control the level of the vehicle body. A first control apparatus controls the functions of filling and discharging the air springs in dependence upon the level of the vehicle body. A communications channel interconnects the first control apparatus to a second control apparatus. A switch triggers an additional function in the level control system and this switch is movable between a first switching state and a second switching state. The switch is connected to the second control apparatus and the second control apparatus functions to transmit a signal sequence via the communications channel to the first control apparatus when the switch is transferred from the first switching state into the second switching state. The first control apparatus operates to carry out the additional function when the first control apparatus receives the signal sequence.
