    Abstract: An electric cable shield contacting device for an electric plug connector, and to an electric plug connector having such a cable shield contacting device, wherein the plug connector has an at least partly hollow cylindrical housing having a contact carrier accommodated therein, and having an end cap that can be screwed onto the latter. The cable shield contacting device has a clamping sleeve and a clamping basket, which are correspondingly hollow-cylindrical and engage partly over each other in order to clamp the shield braid between themselves, having a circumferential stowage space for projecting shield braid in the overlap area. The inner circumferential surface of the clamping basket has multiple projecting shield braid driving elements arranged in the form of a circular ring, which engage in a circumferential annular groove on the outer circumferential surface of the clamping sleeve and thus latch clamping basket and clamping sleeve rotatably in each other.
