Abstract: A shaking unit for the generation of one-dimensional oscillating movements of a machine part mass is provided having a coupling part for mechanical coupling to the machine part mass, a counter-mass which is coupled resiliently to the coupler part and, via the latter, to the machine part mass, and a drive system which acts in a sprung manner between the coupler part and the counter-mass. The coupling part may surround the counter-mass as a frame. At least one of two pneumatic springs of the drive system, which are arranged on both sides of the counter-mass, is loaded with a minimum and/or with a maximum load pressure of the pneumatic springs depending on an oscillation state.

Abstract: Water draining device for a paper machine or the like, in particular for a felted press of such a paper machine, including a receiving tank extending at least essentially over the machine width. The receiving tank includes a first chamber that receives arriving water and is under ambient pressure, and a second chamber that is connected to the first chamber and is under vacuum, into which the water collecting in the first chamber is aspirated and from which the water is eventually drained. A water receiving device of improved efficiency is also provided by forming a water receiving device by at least one suction channel projecting into the wedge-shaped area between the upper press roll and the dewatering belt, and extending transverse to the pulp web, which suction channel is connected to a source of reduced pressure.

Abstract: Headbox for a paper-making machine including a nozzle extending transversely to the machine running direction across the machine width. The nozzle has a lower and an upper continuous wall each extending across the machine width. The lower nozzle wall is supported by several separate supporting elements distributed across the machine width on a foundation. The supporting elements are non-rigid or flexible plates to permit bending in a direction transversely to the machine running direction. Alternatively or additionally, a swivelable or pivotable upper nozzle wall is connected by several separate supporting members distributed across the machine width to a transverse bar attached above a swivel axis. The supporting members are non-rigid or flexible plates to permit bending transversely to the machine running direction.

Abstract: Twin-wire former for producing a fibrous material web from a fibrous suspension and process for separating upper and lower wires of the twin-wire former. The twin-wire former includes a twin-wire zone composed of a lower wire and an upper wire and a plurality of rolls including an inlet roll and an outlet roll. The upper wire is guidable over the plurality of rolls, the inlet roll guides the upper wire to the twin-wire zone, and the outlet roll guides the upper wire toward the inlet roll. A wedge-shaped inlet zone is formed between the upper wire and the lower wire and has an adjustable inlet wedge angle. An upper wire subassembly includes a drainage box adapted to receive suspension water that flows upwardly through the upper wire, and further includes a pivotable common support device, to which the drainage box and the inlet roll are mounted. A stroke device is coupled to the pivotable common support device to lift the pivotable common support device around a first horizontal axle.
