  • Patent number: 7195116
Abstract: A link chain has multiple individual chain links arranged in a repeating sequence. A first chain link has two shank portions connected by two arc portions which define an interior space. One or more dividing elements project inwardly from an inside surface of a shank portion and divide the interior space into two movement spaces. A second chain link has two shank portions connected by two arc portions which define a movement space within its interior. The second link is linked to the first link and movable within one of its two movement spaces. When a longitudinal axis of the second chain link is moved from an intended, substantially aligned position by less than 90 degrees, an outside of an arc portions of the second chain link that engages a movement space of the first chain link contacts the dividing element, and an inside of a shank portion of the second chain link contacts an arc portion of the first chain link.

  • Patent number: 7024849
Abstract: A chain lock for high-strength steel chains has two lock parts that are the same and can be joined together in a rotation-symmetry arrangement with one another, in the longitudinal direction. Each lock part has a longitudinal stay having arc segments that follow it at both ends. There are two coupling elements that are configured complementary to one another and are assigned to the two arc segments of each lock part. One of the elements is configured as a locking stay that follows the longitudinal extension of the lock part, and the other element is configured as a stay accommodation. The locking stay of the one lock part engages in the stay accommodation of the other lock part and rests against the complementary coupling surface of the stay accommodation with its coupling surface formed by the face end in the joining direction. The coupling surfaces comprise a coupling surface segment having a defined width, which has no curvature or only an insignificant curvature pointing in the joining direction.

  • Patent number: 6959769
Abstract: The invention relates to a plough chain strand 50 with horizontal chain links and vertical chain links including normal chain links 30, 40, the chain link legs of which are connected by chain link arcs and engage one another alternately in an intractable manner. In the chain strand 50 in front of and behind the chain connector link 10 is arranged in the same installation position as this at least one special chain link 20, the link legs of which comprise the same outer contour, especially the same width and the same thickness, as the outer legs of the connector link parts of the chain connector link 10. Due to the special chain links 20 preceding and trailing the chain connector link and having the same or a marginally larger contour as this, the wear of the chain connector link 10 of the chain strand 50 according to the invention is reduced or avoided if compared to known plough chains.
