  • Publication number: 20100139227
Abstract: A disengageable drive arrangement (1) for a lawn mower is provided, said arrangement comprising a gear box assembly (2), said gear box assembly (2) being mountable for rotation about a first axis (A1) under the action of a rotational force (F1) acting at a point of application on the gear box assembly (2), wherein a rotational position of said gear box assembly (2) about said first axis (A1) is controllable by a cable force (F2) applied by a cable (7), and wherein the cable is connected to the gear box assembly (2) via a force transmission arrangement (20) such that the rotational force (F1) applied on the gear box assembly (2) at said point of application is greater than the cable force (F2) applied by the cable (7).

  • Patent number: 6842988
Abstract: A locking assembly for a portable, engine-powered, hand tool, such as a clearing saw. To facilitate removal and installation of a rotatable cutting tool (13), a rotatable shaft (11) driving the cutting tool is locked against rotation by a movable locking pin (17) of magnetic material that is secured in a locking position by a magnet (19) carried by a housing of the tool supporting the rotatable shaft.

  • Patent number: 6442391
Abstract: The present invention relates to determining the geographic location of a mobile station in a mobile communications system. The object of the invention is to protect the integrity of the user of the mobile station, so as to prevent the location of the mobile station being established by an outsider against the will of the user. In this respect, an authorization check is carried out in conjunction with a request for determination of the geographical location of a mobile station. The geographical location is only determined when authorization is found for the mobile station to be located. This authorization control involves checking that the user of the mobile station has granted permission for the location of his mobile station MS to be determined on the part of an outsider. The authority check may also include the condition that only certain outsiders may be informed of the geographical location of the mobile station.

  • Patent number: 6347227
Abstract: The present invention relates generally to the problem of positioning of a mobile station (“MS”) in a Public Land Mobile Network (“PLMN”), and more particularly to the problem of establishing the most accurate estimate of the last known position of the mobile station when the mobile station has switched off or has left the coverage area of the network. An application first sends a request to a Mobile Positioning Center, requesting position information for a particular subscriber. The MPC contacts the preferred Positioning Procedure, e.g. GPS, to obtain the positioning information. If this information is not available then the MPC contacts the HLR to get the last known positioning data. The HLR will try to retrieve the last known positioning data from the VLR and forward it to the MPC. If this is not available then the last known position stored in the HLR is forwarded to the MPC.
