    Abstract: For surreptitiously stymieing a recognition of facial characteristics by a facial recognition system using a camera, a user wears an object in front of at least one eye, where the object includes a light displacer. The light displacer optically displaces light radially relative to the original light direction, but still parallel to the original light direction so that a view by the eye through the light displacer is not distorted. With the light displacer, there is an apparent position of the eye perceived by the camera which is shifted relative to other features of the face and relative to the actual position of the eye. Consequently, an image of the face obtained by the camera locates the eye at the apparent position which is substantially different from an image which would have been obtained with the actual position of the eye, so that the facial recognition system is stymied.

This is accomplished by providing an object which is worn adjacent the face of the individual. At least one infrared radiation emitter is fixed to the object which emits mostly or totally infrared radiation. The infrared radiation emitter is adjacent the face of the individual and directed at least one of onto the face or forward of the face of the user at all times, and hence as the face of the individual is viewed by the camera of the facial recognition system. As a result, an image of the face obtained by the facial recognition system is substantially different from an image which would have been obtained were the infrared radiation not so emitted, so that determination of facial characteristics by the facial recognition system is disrupted.

    Abstract: To generate neutrons, a nuclei fusible material is placed between opposed anvils of a mechanical pressing device. Force is applied to an anvil face to compress the fusible material to a high pressure. A laser light pulse is then directed through the anvil face and into the compressed fusible material. This laser light pulse is focused by an optical system to a focal spot in the compressed fusible material, to cause a small portion of the compressed fusible material at the focal spot to be further locally compressed and heated to a temperature whereby a micro plasma is formed in which fusing of nuclei takes place. This fusion reaction of the nuclei in the fusible material thus generates neutrons. In a preferred embodiment, the mechanical pressing device is a diamond anvil, and the fusible material is one of deuterium, tritium, or a combination thereof.

    Abstract: A method and system for creating a three dimensional viewing illusion in true color uses left and right images of a stereo pair which are designed to be viewed respectively by the left and right eyes of a viewer as a single three dimensional image. In synchrony therewith, light from a light source device is alternately shown to the right and left eyes of the viewer so that while the eyes do view both of the left and right stereo images, the contrast of the eye receiving both the light and the stereo image designed for the other eye is reduced. In the various embodiments, the light source device includes a left and a right light source. In one embodiment the light sources are collimated and suitably aimed at the respective eyes. Preferably, the position of the eyes are also tracked and the aiming of the sources is adjusted as the viewer moves. In another embodiment, the light sources are mounted adjacent the associated eye of the viewer on an object which is worn by the viewer.
