Abstract: A control device for a door closer is arranged to control flow of pressure medium within a body part of the door closer and comprises an adjustment member supported by threads on the body part of the door closer, and in cooperation therewith, a separate substantially hollow control member, which is arranged to restrict the flow of the pressure medium when necessary. Turning of the adjustment member with respect to the body part of the door closer brings about movement of the control member in the axial direction of the control device for providing the desired control. The control member is arranged to be attached to the adjustment member in the radial direction so that movement of the control member with respect to the adjustment member in the axial direction is prevented.

Abstract: A door closer includes a casing-like body enclosing a piston member, which is movable back and forth according to the movements of a door and is in cooperation with at least one closer spring, and a closer shaft and a pinion member connected thereto for transmitting the force of the movement of the door to the piston member. The pinion member is mounted on the closer shaft eccentrically with respect to its rolling curve. The piston member is casing-like and is provided with a toothing arranged at its inner surface. The rolling curve of the piston's toothing is at least substantially linear and is inclined relative to the axis of movement of the piston member. The pinion member is located inside the piston member in cooperation with the toothing of the piston member so that the force transmission moment of the pinion member is at its maximum in a position corresponding to the closed position of the door.

Abstract: A hold-open device for a door provided with a closing mechanism comprises an operating arm connectable at one end to the closing mechanism, a guide track, a sliding unit movable in the guide track and connected to the opposite end of the operating arm, and a retainer unit mounted in the guide track. The retainer unit includes a body part held in the guide track at a selectively adjustable position therealong, a holder piece turnably journalled at one end region to the body part, a spring urging the holder piece toward a position in which its opposite end region can engage the sliding unit, and an adjustment member effective between the body part and the holder piece for limiting turning movement of the holder piece relative to the body part.
