  • Patent number: 5803471
Abstract: The subject invention is a lightweight, foldable, collapsible dolly which is to be used to move exterior heavy objects from one locale to another that is capable of being folded to a substantially shortened, flat arrangement facilitating storage in confined quarter locations such as beneath the seat or within an overhead bin of an airplane or train. The collapsible dolly includes a pair of wheels, each of which is movable from the flat arrangement to a transverse position relative to the support frame of the collapsible dolly. With the wheels located in the flat arrangement, the dolly can be rolled by the wheels on a supporting surface. The moving of the wheels into the transverse position occurs automatically during movement of the platform from its stowage position to an outwardly extended position which is the loading position of the platform.

  • Patent number: 4971347
Abstract: An attachment for a kick stand of a motorcycle which substantially increases the support surface area of the kick stand when it is used to support the motorcycle in the upright position. The substantially increased surface area eliminates the possibility of penetration of the kick stand into a penetratable supportive surface. Automatic movement of the kick stand from its extended position to its retracted position causes a base plate to pivot to a stowed position spaced from the foot plate.

  • Patent number: 4850286
Abstract: A foldable tray assembly which includes a tray which is locatable in a usable position with the upper surface of the tray being substantially horizontal. In the usable position, the tray assembly is located in a cantilevered position as is also the base of the tray assembly. When a human being is sitting in a chair or sofa, the base can be easily moved underneath the chair with the tray being movable to a position directly over the lap of the human being.

  • Patent number: 4541650
Abstract: A motorcycle ride-off stand having a generally U-shaped tubular housing which defines an internal open ended chamber. Mounted on the free end of each leg of the housing is a foot pad assembly. Each foot pad assembly is movable a limited amount in respect to the housing. Movement of the foot pad assemblies are in unison but in opposite directions. Movement transferring structure is located within the internal chamber of the housing which includes the use of an aligned series of balls so as to transfer the movement around the bends formed within the tubular housing. A manual actuator assembly is attached to the housing to pivot the entire housing from a stowed position to an extended position. A locking assembly is associated with the housing to fix in position the foot pad assemblies when located at a particular desired position.

  • Patent number: 4432562
Abstract: A motorcycle jack stand which uses a pair of spaced-apart stanchion assemblies which are mounted on the undercarriage of a motorcycle. The stanchion assemblies are movable in unison between a stowage position and an extended position. When in the extended position, each stanchion assembly includes a movable member which is to extend in contact with the ground or street. Within each stanchion assembly is included a ratchet assembly which permits each movable member to further extend, but prevents withdrawing movement. Lateral rocking of the motorcycle causes sequential extension of the stanchion assemblies resulting in at least some portion of the weight of the motorcycle being supported by the stanchion assemblies with the motorcycle positioned vertically upright. The motorcycle jack stand can be operated either by hand or by feet. Initial forward motion of the motorcycle will cause the motorcycle jack stand to automatically retract to the completely stowed position.
