    Abstract: Orally ingestible compositions for reduction of blood cholesterol levels comprising cholestyramine and as deodorant material a water-soluble carbonhydrate syrup such as high fructose corn syrup or a liquid alcohol polyol humectant such as glycerine. The components are blended to form a deodorized powder which may be added to water to form a beverage or mixed with an additional carbohydrate material such as polydextrose to form a unitary orally ingestible product such as a wafer.
