  • Patent number: 6271728
Abstract: The present invention provides a new architecture for MMIC circuitry that allows reception of electronically selectable single polarity for simultaneous dual polarity/dual beam signals by phased-array modules. Additionally, an improved phase shifter design that is smaller and requiring fewer electronic components than prior art phase shifters is disclosed. In particular, the phase shifter requires only a single control line for each stage of the phase shifter.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 5, 1999
Date of Patent: August 7, 2001
Inventors: Jack E. Wallace, Harold J. Redd, Robert J. Furlow, John Haworth
  • Patent number: 6137377
Abstract: The present invention provides a new architecture for MMIC circuitry that allows reception of electronically selectable single polarity or simultaneous dual polarity/dual beam signals by placed-array modules. Additionally, an improved phase shifter design that is smaller said requiring fewer electronic components than prior art phase shifters is disclosed. In particular, the phase shifter requires only a single control line for each stage of the phase shifter.

  • Patent number: 4844866
Abstract: A carrier for detecting drug abuse compounds which changes color upon contact with such compounds. Metabolites of abusable drugs such as natural opiates, i.e., morphine and heroin, are qualitatively and semi-quantitatively detected in physiological fluids by the use of the carrier which has been treated with certain stain-producing components adapted to react with the dug abuse compound residues to form colored products and which may be enhanced by intense light and/or heat.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 13, 1984
Date of Patent: July 4, 1989
    Assignee: Matrix Technologies, Inc.

  • Patent number: 4761429
Abstract: A new class of anti-craving compositions is provided by substances which inhibit breakdown of endogenous substances such as enkephalins and/or endorphins. An anti-alcohol craving effect is observed with an enkephalin breakdown inhibitor. Specifically, D-phenylalanine, DL-phenylalanine, D-leucine, DL-leucine, and hydrocinnamic acid, each an encephalin breakdown inhibitor, significantly lowered alcohol intake in animals and humans. The anti-alcohol desire effect is observed in animals genetically prone to choose alcohol over water solutions.
