  • Patent number: 11911276
Abstract: A collar arranged to couple to a prosthetic component for implantation at the end of a long bone, the prosthetic component having a distal portion arranged to couple to the bone and a proximal neck portion arranged to couple to an articulation component. The collar comprises a plate including a neck hole to receive a neck portion, such that the collar can rotate about the neck portion. The collar further comprises a plurality of attachment portions for coupling the plate to bone fragments or soft tissues. The collar is lockable to the neck portion to prevent further rotation. A prosthesis comprising a combination of a collar, a prosthetic component and an articulation component, and a surgical method of using the collar are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 8137491
Abstract: A reinforcement insert includes superposed laps of fiber which are coupled to each other by a coupling fiber which passes through the laps in order to form fiber sections wherein at least certain sections thereof are rectilinear. The fiber sections and laps are immersed in a cured resin. The total density of the fibers that make up the insert ranges from 50% to 60% of the volume of the insert and the fiber sections take up 3%-10% of the volume of the insert. A method for creating a sandwich structure includes at least one such insert.

  • Publication number: 20060065663
Abstract: A process for the production of a vessel for high pressure gas, particularly helium, for a space launcher or for a satellite with a short lifetime. The process includes the step of producing an internal skin of a plastic material selected from polyethylene and crystallized polyamide. The process also includes winding a reinforcement of fibers and resins around the internal skin, and then providing the obtained vessel with the necessary conduits and control valves.

  • Patent number: 5582305
Abstract: A modular compartment for displaying products therein. The modular compartment comprises in one unit a front panel, a pair of side panels which interlock with the front panel, and a back panel which interlocks with the side panels. The side panels have snap off sections for adjusting the depth of the modular compartment so as to adapt to different shelving dimensions. The side panels also have snap out connector pins for securing together adjacent modular compartments. One or more lateral dividers may be provided for separating products within each modular compartment. Also, an optional perforated peg panel may be snap fit onto the front panel so that mating peg clips and/or actual representative products may be displayed on the front of the modular compartment. Both the front panel and the optional perforated peg panel have guides formed therein for retaining product identifier strips.
