  • Patent number: 11817114
Abstract: Some implementations involve receiving a content stream that includes audio data, determining a content type corresponding to the content stream and determining, based at least in part on the content type, a noise compensation method. Some examples involve performing the noise compensation method on the audio data to produce noise-compensated audio data, rendering the noise-compensated audio data for reproduction via a set of audio reproduction transducers of the audio environment, to produce rendered audio signals, and providing the rendered audio signals to at least some audio reproduction transducers of the audio environment.

Date of Patent: November 14, 2023
    Assignee: Dolby Laboratories Licensing Corporation
Inventors: Timothy Alan Port, Daniel Steven Templeton, Jack Gregory Hays
  • Publication number: 20230009878
Abstract: Some implementations involve determining a noise metric and/or a speech intelligibility metric and determining a compensation process corresponding to the noise metric and/or the speech intelligibility metric. The compensation process may involve altering a processing of audio data and/or applying a non-audio-based compensation method. In some examples, altering the processing of the audio data does not involve applying a broadband gain increase to the audio signals. Some examples involve applying the compensation process in an audio environment. Other examples involve determining compensation metadata corresponding to the compensation process and transmitting an encoded content stream that includes encoded compensation metadata, encoded video data and encoded audio data from a first device to one or more other devices.

  • Patent number: 8307525
Abstract: A hand-operated rivet setting tool, having an upper handle, a lower handle, a housing which is connected to the lower handle at its first end and houses a pump assembly and a flexible reservoir, the pump assembly, connected to a flexible reservoir, the front assembly for setting a rivet, having a nose tube connected to a hydraulic cylinder of the pump assembly, a lever assembly, wherein the lever assembly and at least one of the handles are operationally connected to the pump assembly, wherein the pump assembly is sufficiently designed to advance the hydraulic cylinder with the nose tube to set the rivet when the lever of the lever assembly is in a first position, and wherein the pump assembly is sufficiently designed to open a passage for oil to return into the flexible reservoir and the hydraulic cylinder with the nose tube to retrieve toward the housing when the lever of the lever assembly is in a second position.

  • Patent number: 6549338
Abstract: A color splitting prism assembly (100) comprised of three prisms. Each a dichroic filter at an interface (112) between a first and second of the three prisms reflects a first primary color component of a white light beam passing through the prism assembly. The first primary color component is directed to a first modulator (118). The remaining portions of the white light beam enter a second prism (108) and strike a second dichroic filter at the interface between (124) the second and third prisms. The second dichroic filter separates a second primary color component from the white light beam leaving a third primary color component to travel through the third prism (110) to a third modulator. The second primary color component of the white light beam is directed to a second modulator (128).

  • Publication number: 20020006306
Abstract: A dispensing valve unit, adapted to be quickly filled with tap water, permitting the user to selectively rotate for dispensing selections, then pump to deliver soap and water or water only to an outlet. Composing a pair of partially interfitted tubular assemblies, forming there between an upper pump piston assembly and a lower soap valve cylinder assembly. The pump handle assembly is adapted to hold water and includes a piston and seal means and substantially right angle fill port. The cylinder assembly is operatively mounted to a mop base with cam means. The cylinder includes a locking collate and inner valve seat. Located within the cylinder is a pair of shiftable valve bodies. Upper body is a soap valve dispensing capsule, including a valve follower stem that protrudes of a ball end there of. The valve capsule is positioned to interactively engage cylinder valve seat cooperatively defining two different fluid passage way. The lower valve body includes a protruding tube cam means.

  • Patent number: 5707163
Abstract: A stain removal device and process sets forth a device and method which facilitates the removal of stains by employing a number of mutually beneficial structures and processes. A limited area of material is exposed to both the soap or other removal solution by encasing the limited area of material onto a washboard top surrounded by an "o" ring forming the lower portion of a sealing cap. The upper portion of the sealing cap has downward projections which both accommodate and grasp the surrounding material, but which also engage the lower portion of the sealing cap. The upper portion accommodates a downwardly directed and rotatable brush which is brought to bear on the stained area of material when the upper portion is engaged onto the lower portion of the sealing cap. The brush is rotatable to scrub the stained area of material, and has a central bore in fluid communication with the brush bristles.

  • Patent number: 4792096
Abstract: A nozzle with self-contained high pressure booster pump is carried on a pistol grip handle with a small motor to drive the eccentrically-pump. A portion of the water from a conventional hose fitting flows laterally into a pump cylinder and then radially through the piston itself to exit axially through a check valve and into the pump chamber ahead of the piston. During the working stroke the water is driven out of the piston into a pressure chamber and then through a restricted passageway to exit in a jet stream. Another portion of the supply water is diverted around the pump cylinder to the same nozzle to flush away debris loosened by the jet stream.

  • Patent number: 4494720
Abstract: A tilt swivel base for a video terminal includes a lower section which is supported by way of a swivel so that the lower section can be swiveled relative to a supporting surface. An upper section is supported on the lower section, the two sections mating at surfaces which are curved from the front to the back of the base about an imaginery axis which is located appreciably above the base. The upper section is movable relative to the lower section forwardly and rearwardly so as to adjust the tilt angle of the upper section and of a terminal supported thereby relative to the supporting surface. Structures for controlling the relative motion of the upper and lower sections as well as establishing their relative positions are also disclosed.
