  • Publication number: 20140353459
Abstract: A fan bracket assembly for supporting a fan assembly from a slanted surface. The fan bracket assembly includes a main body having a peripheral section, an open area sized to hold wiring of the fan assembly and an extension. The fan bracket is affixed to a slanted surface. The fan bracket assembly includes a detachable mounting ball sized and shaped to fit and be retained within the peripheral section. The mounting ball has a surface area extending beyond a horizontal reference line bisecting the mounting ball and a slat extending beyond the horizontal reference line. The extension is positioned within the slot to rotationally restrain the mounting ball. The bracket assembly also includes a down rod attached to the mounting ball for supporting the fan assembly. When the fan assembly is hung from the down rod, the extension remains within the slot to rotationally restrain the mounting ball.

  • Patent number: 8616513
Abstract: A bracket for supporting a load from a mounting assembly. The bracket includes an upper portion having a support element and a lower portion having a mount for coupling the load to the bracket. The bracket also includes at least two side supports coupled to the support element and the mount located on sides of the mounting assembly. The upper portion, lower portion and side supports of the bracket are sized and shaped to fit over a perimeter of the support element. In one embodiment, the support arms are two support arms spaced across a length of the bracket to spread a load on the bracket.

  • Publication number: 20130320165
Abstract: An adapter for a recess can. The adapter includes a hangar bar having a first section slidably connected to a second section. The hangar bar has a first end mount on a first end and a second end mount on a second opposite end of the hangar bar. The adapter also includes a damping mechanism sized and shaped to fit within a slot of the hangar bar. The clamping mechanism holds the first section stationary in relationship to the second section. The adapter also includes an adapter bracket attachable to the hangar bar. The end mounts are attached to a wall of the recess can and a fixture bracket is attached to the adapter bracket for supporting a fixture.

  • Publication number: 20130320004
Abstract: A system for attaching an electrical box to a mounting assembly. The system includes a metallic mounting assembly and a metallic electrical box. A permanent fastener is utilized for attaching the electrical box to the mounting assembly. A magnet is positioned on or near the electrical box and mounting assembly providing a magnetic attraction with the mounting assembly and the electrical box, thereby temporarily attaching the electrical box to the mounting assembly. In one embodiment, the magnet is a magnetic disc positioned in an indentation on a top surface of the electrical box. The fastener may be one or more screws attached to a mounting bracket affixed to the mounting assembly which is inserted through the top surface of the electrical box and into the interior of the electrical box.
