  • Patent number: 4971059
Abstract: A means and method for medical timing of human vital signs including the steps of generating a repeating preselected time interval signal which is used to produce a sensory stimulating signal. The sensory stimulating signal is used as a reference when measuring human vital signs. The apparatus of the invention includes a housing containing a timing mechanism for producing the repeating pre-selected time interval signal and a mechanism for producing the sensory stimulating signal. The device is adapted to be used with a power source such as a battery and is small, portable, and easily maneuverable. An illuminating light is optionally includable to assist in viewing the patient and obtaining other medically related signs and readings.

  • Patent number: 4600354
Abstract: A multiple-use utility jack and tire changing tool which includes a base framework which is movable along the ground for application of a number of different attachment tools. An elongated mast extends upwardly from the base framework and has a masthead which is movable along the mast. The masthead has supports positioned along its vertical length for selective height-wise placement of attachments. These attachments include but are not limited to an assembly for rotatably supporting a vehicle tire, a fork, a fork with a V-bar addition, a boom, and an elbow lift. The assembly for rotatably supporting a vehicle tire includes an outwardly extending arm having at its end two tandem wheels which are aligned in the same plane and have rotational axes parallel to one another in a horizontal plane. The tandem wheels engage the top and side of the rim of the vehicle tire and cause the vehicle tire to be lifted when the masthead is lifted.

  • Patent number: 4571142
Abstract: A mechanism for lifting vehicle tires which includes a base framework which is movable along the ground. An elongated mast extends upwardly from the base framework and has a masthead which is movable along the mast. An arm extends outwardly from the masthead and has at its outer end two tandem wheels which are aligned in the same plane and have rotational axes parallel to one another in a horizontal plane. A jack on the base framework is operably connected to the masthead and allows selective lifting and lowering of the masthead. The tandem wheels engage the top inside of the rim of the vehicle tire and cause the vehicle tire to be lifted when the masthead is lifted. When lifted, the tire may be rotated because it is supported only by the rotatable tandem wheels. The tire may also be transported when in a lifted position.
