  • Patent number: 5941589
Abstract: A chock block holder for installation in a vehicle body includes a hollow, generally triangular body having a central axis and having first and second ends, the first end being closed, and the second end being open, and a peripheral flange on the first end, the peripheral flange lying in a plane not perpendicular to the central axis. A method of storing a chock block in a vehicle body having a vertical side wall, includes the steps of placing a chock block holder in the form of a hollow, generally triangular body having a central axis, and first and second ends, the first end being closed, and the second end being open and having a peripheral flange on the first end, the peripheral flange lying in a plane not perpendicular to the central axis, in an opening in the side wall so that the flange is in contact with the side wall and the first end is downward from the second end; and fastening the flange to the side wall.

  • Patent number: 5826931
Abstract: A truck body has two enclosures having inner walls with upper and lower sections. The horizontal distance between opposite portions of the upper sections is less than the horizontal distance between opposite portions of the lower sections. A tailgate is latchable to the lower sections of the inner walls. A truck body has compartments having smoothly curving doors having an outer section and an inner section having a generally vertical inner surface. Generally vertical surfaces are provided on opposite sides of the inner surface for mounting of latch hardware, and, above and below each such vertical surface, a surface adapted for mounting of a hinge. A truck body has compartments, each of which has a front wall with an opening. The opening has smoothly curving edges and an outward-projecting upstanding flange about its perimeter. A truck body has a compartment door mounted to rotate about a horizontal axis, which door has an inner surface including a planar portion having an upstanding circumferential lip.

  • Patent number: 4905498
Abstract: A gaseous detection system for detecting the existence of a certain gas and further the detection of a certain level or percentage of that certain gas within a certain environment. An example is use of the gas detection system in a motor vehicle to aid in determining when a driver of the motor vehicle may be driving under the influence of alcohol, and for providing an appropriate warning signal that may be viewed from the exterior of the motor vehicle. The system includes a sensor unit (214) for sensing ethanol in the atmospheric contents of the motor vehicle's interior, for example, a unit for providing an actuation signal in response to the sensing unit (214), and a signal unit (233) that generates a signal which can be utilized for many purposes, for example, causing at least some of the exterior lights on the motor vehicle to alternately flash on and off in a substantially non-standard pattern.
