  • Patent number: 10307003
Abstract: A plate comprises a planar central region with a perimeter and a lip with first and second sections, each including two ends. A first end of the first section extends from the perimeter up and away from the planar central region, and a first of the second section extends from a second of the two ends of the first section down and away from the planar central region. A plate comprises circular, mid and end regions. The mid-region protrudes from an outer edge of the circular region in a first direction away therefrom. The end-region protrudes from an outer edge of the mid-region in an opposite direction and away therefrom. The mid and end-regions include openings. A plate comprises a first area and a rim surrounding the first area. The rim has walls which intersect. Each of the walls is either straight or concave. Both of the walls includes openings.

  • Patent number: 6053821
Abstract: A light, portable and manually-operated golf ball teeing unit which permits a golfer to position a golf ball on a golf tee without bending over and to press the tee into the ground with the ball positioned on the tee. A tee with an associated golf ball is placed in a locked position between a pair of support means which hold the tee and golf ball. The support means are maintained in the closed position by a spring tension device. The tee so positioned is then pressed into the ground by manually forcing the device downward or by applying foot pressure to a footrest affixed to the device for the manual pressure. When the tee is in the ground, two handles are pivoted apart which causes the support means to pivot apart to allow the device to be removed without interfering with the ball on the tee. Stop posts are provided to limit the amount of pivot of the support means. An auxiliary ball feed can be provided for supplying a number of successive balls to the support means.

  • Patent number: 5561968
Abstract: An automated cartoner for packaging a product in a carton having score lines is provided. The automated cartoner includes a carton feed for storing a plurality of cartons. A carton slide is provided and is coupled to the carton feed for receiving cartons from the carton feed. A pre-break station is positioned at approximately the midpoint of the carton slide. The pre-break station is provided for flexing the score lines on the carton. A product feed is provided for storing a plurality of products, for example, videotape cassettes. A product slide is provided and is connected at approximately a 90.degree. angle to the carton slide at one end below the pre-break station to form a packaging station. The other end of the product slide is connected to the product feed for receiving product from the product feed. The product slide delivers product to the packaging station. At least one motor is provided for driving the carton slide and the product slide in reciprocating directions with respect to one another.

  • Patent number: 4365458
Abstract: A method and apparatus for placing, in sequence, a finished disc record into an empty sleeve, the record-filled sleeve into an empty jacket, and the filled jacket on a stack of finished products. Two vertically reciprocating releasable holding heads are supported above and in registry with two of three adjacent stacks in a row. A movable carriage located between the heads and the stacks translates along the row in a predetermined operational sequence. A finished disc record is pushed transversely to the stack row into an open, empty sleeve held above a stack of empty sleeves by the sleeve holding head. After release of the filled sleeve by the sleeve holding head, the carriage supports the filled sleeve, transports it transversely, and by a continuing carriage motion, inserts the filled sleeve, still supported by a portion of the carriage, into an empty, open jacket held above a stack of empty jackets by the jacket holding head.

  • Patent number: 4098431
Abstract: A chemical replenisher system for supplying developer and fixer chemicals to a processor is disclosed. A developer and fixer tank are disposed side-by-side and coupled to the processor by way of hoses. A container-coded dispenser atop the tanks provides a substantially error-free arrangement for introducing the component chemicals into the tanks. A unique outline geometry is associated with each component container. By relating this geometry to a corresponding opening in a template of the dispenser, the introduction of the component chemicals is made error-free. The template openings also serve as guides for the containers. Uniquely designed knife assemblies are disposed below the template openings for piercing the tops of the sealed, chemical-filled containers upon inserting the containers into the template openings. Water is supplied under increased pressure as a mixing source is provided to each tank. A system of sensors provides low level alarm activation and automatic water shut-off.
