  • Publication number: 20230000649
Abstract: In some examples, the disclosure describes a medical assembly that includes a stent including a primary electrode, where the stent is configured to expand from a collapsed configuration to an expanded configuration, a secondary electrode, and an energy source configured to deliver an electrical signal between the primary electrode and the secondary electrode through a fluid in contact with the primary electrode to cause the fluid to undergo cavitation to generate a pressure pulse wave within the fluid.

  • Publication number: 20220323718
Abstract: A balloon catheter includes an inflation conduit including an inner inflation tube, an outer inflation tube disposed around the inner inflation tube, and an inflation lumen disposed between the inner and outer inflation tubes. The inner inflation tube includes a first polymer material, and a stiffener integrated into the inner inflation tube to increase a strength of the inner inflation tube. The stiffener includes a second polymer material different from the first polymer material. A balloon is attached to a distal end portion of the inflation conduit. An interior space of the balloon is in fluid communication with the inflation lumen for inflating the balloon when the inflation lumen is placed in fluid communication with an inflation source.

  • Publication number: 20220273916
Abstract: Devices, assemblies, systems, and techniques described herein may deliver a pressure wave to structures of a heart, such an aortic valve. For example, a medical assembly may include an expandable member configured to expand from a collapsed configuration to an expanded configuration, the expandable member configured to at least partially define a channel through the expandable member in the expanded configuration and one or more electrodes carried by the expandable member. The one or more electrodes may be configured to transmit an electrical signal through a fluid to cause the fluid to undergo cavitation that generates a pressure wave within the fluid.

  • Publication number: 20200360666
Abstract: In some examples, a catheter includes a hub assembly, an elongate member, and a plurality of support wires extending along a length of the elongate member. The plurality of support wires is configured to expand radially outward from the elongated body to help anchor a distal portion of the catheter within the vasculature the patient and provide a backup support to the elongate member, e.g., to reduce pushback on the catheter when a treatment device is advanced past the distal tip of the catheter.
