    Abstract: There is provided a system for processing international priority airmail. The system includes a weigh in station for weighing the total weight of received priority airmail, a recordal station for recording the total number of pieces of the received airmail and for establishing criteria to identify the airmail in the system, an affixing station, located downstream of the weigh in and recordal stations, for affixing indicia onto the airmail; and a sorting station, located downstream of the affixing station, for sorting the airmail by country. The system also includes a processing unit that stores received information and processes the stored information to derive processed information, and a weighing and processing station, located downstream of the sorting station.
