  • Patent number: 9975242
Abstract: A grasp management system and corresponding methods are described. In some examples, information about a grasp by which an end of arm tool of a robotic manipulator successfully grasped an item is accessed. The grasp may be associated with contact points on the item. Other contact points may be simulated based on the contact points in order to define a grasping surface that includes at least a portion of the other contact points. Information about the grasping surface may be accessed to determine a primitive shape that represents a feature of the item. The primitive shape may be used determine other features on the item or other features on other items that may also be graspable by the end of arm tool or other end of arm tools.

  • Patent number: 9669543
Abstract: A grasp management system and corresponding method are described. In some examples, it is determined whether an end of arm tool of a robotic manipulator is capable of grasping an item in a first orientation and a second orientation. Information regarding success of the attempts may be retained in a database. A richness measure for each of the first orientation and the second orientation may be determined based upon a spatial variation of successful attempted grasps in the respective orientation.

Abstract: Described are various embodiments of systems, devices and methods for generating locality-indicative data representations of data streams, and compressions thereof. In one such embodiment, a method is provided for determining an indication of locality of data elements in a data stream communicated over a communication medium. This method comprises determining, for at least two sample times, count values of distinct values for each of at least two distinct value counters, wherein each of the distinct value counters has a unique starting time; and comparing corresponding count values for at least two of the distinct value counters to determine an indication of locality of data elements in the data stream at one of the sample times.

  • Publication number: 20160132934
Abstract: Various embodiments of the present technology provide for systems and methods to automatically measure and tune campaigns to achieve the most effective campaigns (e.g., balancing the most desired outcomes against the least negative outcomes and opportunity cost of sending) without requiring intervention by the campaign sender. By using various embodiments of campaign message selection and/or send time selection optimization, the sender does not have to manage and manually tune a multitude of experiments. Some embodiments of the technology leverage real-time user profiles to help send relevant messages to the right person at the right time on the right device. This helps customers of the marketing system delight their users with relevant messages, while boosting their bottom line and the brand experience.

  • Patent number: 9052448
Abstract: Two-dimensional coupled resonator optical waveguide arrangements and systems, devices, and methods thereof. Networks of coupled resonator optical waveguides are arranged so as to exploit topological properties of these optical networks. Such arrangement affords topological protection against disorders or perturbations in the network that may hinder or block photon flow. As a result of a disorder, photons traversing along edge states of the array are rerouted based on the disorder or perturbation. Photon routing in the network is accordingly protected against disorder or defects.
