  • Patent number: 4205449
Abstract: An improvement in micro-calipers including a main beam, a mount slidably mounted on the main beam, a dial gage carried by the mount, a rack bar mounted on the main beam which has a toothed marginal portion, a pinion mounted on the dial gage which engages with the rack bar, a disc mounted on the gage which has a plurality of electrically conducting and concentrically disposed projections, an electrically conducting pointer coupled to the pinion and rotatable over the projections, a first lead in sliding electrical contact with the pointer, and a second lead in electrical contact with the projections. The leads are attached to first and second contacts of a calculator result-key or the like, so that a predetermined longitudinal displacement of the mount with respect to the main beam from a first position to a second position results in a predetermined number of interruptions in conductivity between the leads.

  • Patent number: 4100522
Abstract: A circuit breaker which has an adjustable setting includes a first pair of bars for connecting the circuit breaker to a current supply, and a second pair of bars for connecting it to a load. The circuit-breaker current-supply connecting bars are normally in contact with the circuit-breaker load-connecting bars, and one of the pairs of bars is adapted to be released from contact with the other pair of bars at a predetermined release point upon the application of a predetermined amount of heat to the pairs of bars. An adjustment device is provided for varying the release point of the one pair of bars from the other pair of bars, so that upon a predetermined current passing through the pair of bars, the one pair of bars is heated to the predetermined amount of heat and released from contact with the other pair of bars.

  • Patent number: 4067121
Abstract: A game including a stand, a spinning wheel rotatable on the stand which has circumferentially spaced and different indicia thereon, a pointer which may be spun about the center of the wheel, and a set of cards. Each card has an indicium on one of its sides, and a word on the reverse side corresponding to the indicium. When a person spins the wheel and/or the pointer, and when the wheel and/or pointer has come to rest, and the pointer points to one of the indicia on the spinning wheel, the person spells the word represented by the indicium and checks the accuracy of spelling on the reverse side of the card showing the selected indicium.
