  • Patent number: 4944339
Abstract: Described is a procedure for machining wooden articles in which a plurality of machining operations is carried out on a wooden article in a series of machining operation stations. The wooden articles are transported along the series of machining operation stations whereby each article remains fixed on one and the same clamping bench during all operations; following each operation the bench is moved to the next station while the wooden article remains clamped thereon.During moving the clamping is carried out with clamping devices which can move synchronously with the clamping benches; in a station a clamping bench is fixed and the clamping action may be achieved either by stationary clamping devices connected to a station or the clamping devices which can move with a bench. Also is described an installation for carrying out the procedure.

  • Patent number: 4449555
Abstract: A guide device for the transfer of articles from a feed path or a tooling path to a lower discharge path of a machine tool. The guide device has a vertical component situated at the end of the tooling path of the machine tool and a horizontal component which passes into the discharge path. The vertical component changes the direction of the arriving article, and the horizontal component brings the article into a pre-oriented position on the discharge path, running toward the tending side of the tooling path.

  • Patent number: 4446899
Abstract: A tenoner provided with two driven milling cutters positioned opposite each other on both sides of a traveling carrier for a workpiece. Each cutter is carried in a carriage mounted in a supporting element which comprises a base displaceable on the frame in two mutually perpendicular directions. The carriage is tiltable around two mutually perpendicular axes for setting the location and angular position of a tenon. These axes intersect each other at an imaginary point coinciding with the root of the tenon, which is i.e. the center of the common attachment plane of tenon and workpiece. The cutters each make a stepwise revolution and a rectilinear reciprocating motion around the root in producing a tenon. Because of this arrangement, the angular setting of the cutter can be quickly adjusted.
