Abstract: A disposable absorbent article is disclosed having a waist opening and a pair of leg openings. The absorbent article has first, second and third pairs of leg elastics secured between an outer cover and an inner liner. The first, second and third leg elastics are arranged around each of the pair of leg openings with each of the third pair of leg elastics being positioned intermediate one of each of the first and second pairs of leg elastics. Each of the third pair of leg elastics is also separated from one of the first pair of leg elastics by a first gap and from one of the second pair of leg elastics by a second gap.

Abstract: A disposable pant-like undergarment is disclosed which has a stretchable front panel and a stretchable back panel. An absorbent assembly having a liquid pervious bodyside liner, a liquid-impervious outer cover, and an absorbent positioned therebetween is secured to an outer surface of the front and back panels. The bodyside liner is partially overlapped by the front and back panels such that a physical barrier is established between a portion of the bodyside liner and the user's skin. The absorbent assembly is folded to enable the first and second panels to overlap one another and a pair of seams are formed which join the front and back panels together to create a pant-like undergarment having a waist opening and a pair of leg openings.

The absorbent core is positioned within the front, central, and back sections of the disposable underpant such that the length of the absorbent core in the back section of the disposable underpant divided by the length of the absorbent core in the front and central sections of the disposable underpant is less than 0.10, and the length of the absorbent core in the front section of the disposable underpant is greater than the length of the absorbent core in the back section of the disposable underpant. In one aspect, the disposable underpant includes elasticized leg and waist openings, resulting in the underpant being stretchable about the hip and stomach regions of a user.
