  • Patent number: 6695562
Abstract: Two receptacles open at the top (15, 16), one of which contains objects (17) are put onto a rotating tray (3) under a convex cover (5). They are held in place by an appropriate device (11, 12). The tray and the cover are rotated by one complete turn such that the objects (17) come out of the first receptacle (15), roll under the cover (5) and finally drop into the other receptacle (16).
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 15, 2002
Date of Patent: February 24, 2004
Assignee: Compagnie Generale des Matieres Nucleaires
Inventors: Jacques Heyraud, Denis Gremeaux, Daniel Brulard, Jean-Jacques Margueron, Serge Chabrol

  • Patent number: 6024482
Abstract: A machine (3) provided with an elevator chassis (8), a body (12) swinging round a vertical axis and extended on two opposite sides by a distribution chute (16) and by a plate (11) adapted to grasp a powder-filled jar (1). The plate (11) can rotate in order to bring about the mixing of the powder in the jar, as well as during the emptying phase in order to improve the efficiency thereof. The body (12) swings in order to invert the jar and allow its content to escape by the chute (16). It is thus possible to transfer the powder from one transportation path (2) to another (20) in a purely automatic manner and without any hazard if the powder is dangerous or toxic.

  • Patent number: 4047886
Abstract: The furnace comprises a hearth for the longitudinal displacement of pellet containers, means for injecting gas at both ends of the furnace, for sucking gas between preheating and sintering zones and for condensing the binder, means for displacing the containers from an introduction lock-chamber to an extraction lock-chamber, a conveyor belt which passes through a glove box and provides a leak-tight connection between the lock-chambers. A station for loading containers with pellet sub-containers prior to sintering and a station for unloading the pellet sub-containers after sintering are juxtaposed within the glove box.

  • Patent number: 3999742
Abstract: A number of jars containing powders to be homogenized are fixed in a corresponding number of peripheral openings formed in a mixer housing, means being provided for conveying the jars to and away from the mixer. A jar-sealing valve is caused by actuating cams to undergo in alternate sequence and in accordance with a predetermined program a plurality of successive cycles of opening and closure when each jar is located above the mixer during a movement of rotation through an angle A. After homogenization, a plurality of successive cycles of opening and closure of the sealing valve take place when each jar is located beneath the mixer during a movement of rotation through an angle B.
