  • Patent number: 5627605
Abstract: A method for correcting digital convergence performed with respect to four modes of NTSC, ED, MUSE and ZENITH only by adjusting the convergence for a single mode on a software basis includes the steps of adjusting a specific mode and calculating correction data based on adjustment data for the specific mode and storing adjustment data and correction data in memory, and calculating correction data of other modes based on correction data stored for the specific mode, thereby remarkably improving the accuracy of the convergence, facilitating adjustment time and adjustment itself, simplifying the system to cut down the price of the system while enabling digital convergence of a multi-sync projection television to apply it to household use and monitors for personnel computers and video conferencing.

  • Patent number: 5625221
Abstract: A semiconductor package assembly includes recessed edge portions extending along at least one edge portion of the assembly and an upper surface of leads being exposed therefrom, a top recess portion disposed on a top surface of the assembly, and a bottom recess portion disposed on a bottom surface of the assembly. When the assemblies are used in fabricating a three-dimensional integrated circuit module, the recessed edge portions accommodates leads belonging to an upper semiconductor assembly to achieve electrical interconnection therebetween, the top recess portion and the bottom recess portion belonging to an upper semiconductor assembly form a space to accommodate a heat sink or a capacitor plate.

  • Patent number: 5345293
Abstract: A feeder of continuous documents for a copy machine comprising an upper frame having a pair of support walls, a cover formed at one end of said upper frame and provided at its upper end with an extension, and a lower frame adapted to define a path for travelling the documents and provided at both sides thereof with a pair of extensions extending beyond the other end of the upper frame. A tractor is fixedly mounted to a drive shaft mounted to the lower frame to be driven by the drive force of a motor and formed of a circular shape to increase the concentration of forces of drawing the documents. The motor drives according to the control of a motor driving unit. In order to supply a control signal to the motor driving unit, at least two sensors are provided. The feeder provides drawing the documents more powerfully and thus feeding them precisely. By virtue of the provision of several sensors, the feeder can be used for the case of narrow documents.

  • Patent number: 5061301
Abstract: A process for the preparation of surface modified, multilayered, composite membranes are disclosed. This process comprises the steps of: subjecting the surface of porous polysulfone membranes to sulfonation to introduce sulfonic acid functional groups onto the surface of the membranes; and either subjecting the sulfonic acid functional groups so introduced to silylation with reactive polysiloxanes to undergo grafting the polysiloxanes on the introduced functional groups, followed by applying polysiloxanes coating along with cross-linking agent onto so treated membranes to allow to undergo cross-linking; or carrying out both the silylation step and the coating and cross-linking step simultaneously. The membranes so produced are useful in gas separation systems for oxygen enrichment of air.
